hi, Patricia, join the club , the stress club lol, im into card making , cross stitch,tapestry, reading and swimming , would like to do more of them, are you like me dont get much me time .
I would love to have something to releive the stress but with five kids two on the spectrum and trying to balance evrything out I have no time for anything I wish I did

I have two boys (6 and 9) both with autism. I find running or walking every day....even if it is just for 10 minutes....really helps. It also helps to find a group of Moms around your area that are dealing with the same situation. Trust me those venting sessions are worth there weight in gold. Surround yourself with upbeat and supportive people! Dont let friends bring you down!!! Live for the day and take care of yourself!

Since my son was born I joined a triathlon club and started swimming, biking, and running to relieve stress. Not only did I relieve the stress, I gained confidence, peace, patience, lost weight, and was a better parent to all 4 of my children. This year my friends are joining me in my new pastime. It even more fun to train with a friend or with my children running alonside.

I also get involved with many crafts as well as puzzle books(I love logic problems). During nicer days I also spend time doing yard work, riding our ATV's, or target shooting. I find that for me blasting holes in bowling pins at our local range helps relieve most of my pent up aggravation. I would suggest finding anything that you enjoy doing that you can find a little time to do by yourself.
