photography, he will take pictures for hours and show them off. He is 9 as of December and got his first digital camera for his birthday. Over 1000 pictures (good if with sometimes unusual subjects) in 1 hour. He also loves to cook (only with the very strictest supervision) and to "help" because his cleaning help rarely is actually helpful and it is usually his way to avoid cleaning his room.

The light of my life, my son likes to call him self the technical support. it is a great source of pride for him. A funny story was two years ago when it came time to practice for the spring program at school it was a constant battle with the music teacher. then one day it was michaels turn to push the the play button. It was the best day of practice ever and he did not want to give the job up. He looked at her with a huge smile and said i am your tech support. She laughed and I smiled. So come the day of the event my son sat proudly on the side of the stage and pushed play happy has clams. They even listed him as tech support in the program and we now have it framed on his wall.
He is also very good with mechanics. He loves to figure out how things work. Lol when he was between 1 and about 5 we had all tools under lock and key because he would litteraly take everything apart. We used to joke he could dismantle your complete home in just under and hour with nothing but a screw driver. :).

My wonderful boy has incredible musical ability. What makes it even more incredible is that until he was four or five, music sent him into meltdowns....now it is one of his greatest joys. I love to hear him sing.

Art...she is an amazing artist/illustrator. Her last teacher created an award at the end of year especially for her as "Best Illustrator" because she had never seen a child draw with such detail. One proud Momma! It's her soother if we feel she is getting worked up about something.

My kid's a computer ace. He modifies codes in two languages at least. My problem is that my husband and I know Microsoft and that's it. My son, 11, passed us up about 4 years ago in ability. We're looking into computer camps this year, but my family (4 computer engineers) tells me not to put him in any structured learning because it will stunt his style and pigeon hole his methods. As it is now the kid learns everything on youtube and online, supervised, chats. Are there any computer literate people out there that have an opinion? I just feel like we should do more nurturing than allowing him time on the computer.

I thought I would add that he runs an under 5 minute mile and other great times. So if you can't find a sport in high school or junior high try running. You never know.

Get your kids out there and never give up. I can't believe it but my son runs really fast, so he joined cross country and track. He forced into social situations and he loves to run. Just keep trying - these kids might have deficits, but they also are able to achieve greatness!

My son is inventive...tried to make a tungsten furnace out of an old dryer for melting metals. Thats just his latest invention. My favorite talent that he has is he can make me laugh and helps me learn interesting things I wouldnt normally think about.
