I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience dealing with a child that had a yeast rash under his neck due to drool. If so what did you do to get rid of it.? Did you find this rash to be in relationship to systemic candida? Is there any relationship between a rash like this and autism?

Some of our children that drool alot wear towel bibs although not all children with sensory issues will wear them. You can try over the counter mycolog cream for yeast infections to help get rid of the rash. Then you can put a diaper rash cream with the most zinc oxide you can find. The clear desitin works pretty good. It will keep a barrier on your childs skin to prevent the rash just like on their bottom. I have one mom that uses it on his cheeks too. That's why she prefers the clear it just looks like lotion. There is also therapy called Beckman oral motor therapy that can be taught to you by an OT or Speech therapist and over time this can help with some of the drooling. Best of luck and God Bless
