DO NOT FREEZE THINGS!! our mouths and especially baby's are really sensitive and not made to withstand freezing temperature. you can cause more damage than good, just chilling it in the fridge is best. And i recommend hylands teething tablets..(not Humphreys-- dont work) there at walgreens on the baby isle, if there not there ask the pharmacist they're sometimes kept behind the counter.100% natural and they also make a homepathic gel like oragel. Hope this helps. but no freezing!

I would chop an onion and put it in one of these food nets. I know it sounds weird but both my kids loved it and the natural juices in the onions would numb their gums. They also liked textured frozen teething rings.

We have found some good teething remedies are: using chamomilla root powder for calming, as well as freezing chamomile tea and putting the cubes into his fresh food feeder (or you can tie it up in some muslin or cheesecloth)....one thing to be aware of is not to use paracetamol (sp?) and teething gel at the same time, as the gel also contains paracetamol most times, thus they are getting a double dose which is not good for wee peoples! :) Hope this helps. I don't think anyone has come up with a sure-fire teething solution yet, though...

Oh and when Jayden gets really bad we use baby Tylenol or this homeopathic teething remedy called Camilia...it is made by Boiron and it does help.  you can get it at zellers, Walmart, or any drugstore.  They have a wide varity of stuff that all works great.  It is like 14.99 a box but I think it is worth it.  In the box you get 30 doses that come in their own little capsule so you don't have to masure anything!

Hope these tips help!  good luck.

I have this thing that is called a nibbler...it has different names but what it is is a net that you can put food in and your baby can nibble on it without fear of chocking it also has a handle for your baby to hold onto while they chew away at the food in the net.  I put frozen fruit, ice cubes, or even juice cubes in it and it helps with the swelling and helps numb their little gums.....and they get a nice treat!

Dentinox teething gel rubbed on a teething ring or dummy, it's like an "off" switch in my house:)

my little chomper bit through the frozen waffle (with no teeth) and nearly choked, I loved the cold carrot with my first child, but my second stuck it back so far she gagged! A spoon soaked in ice water is good and can be recooled quickly that way. But at nights we go with a combo of hylands teething tablets, baby tylenol, and baby orajel. Oh she also loves her teething ball. http://www.creativekidstuff.com/teething...

You can also try a frozen waffle to help ease the discomfort for a while

If you breastfeed, try giving frozen breastmilk in a popsicle type format.

Infant motrin is my friend these days. I use Camilia teething drops during the day and motrin at bedtime if he is cranky and really rosy. My son also likes to chomp down on cold carrots...a really thick one, as well as a really hard teething ring..he doesnt like the one with liquid in them, and a Sophie the giraffe...he loves it.

I don't know what route you want to go, but Infant motrin works wonders, as does these homeopathic teething remedy tablets we found at walmart. we've done cold things, that kinda worked for my son, but he is a cranky teether.
