My 7 month old this week all of a sudden decided to stop napping? He has always had no problem taking 3-ish naps a day. Now, he seems tired, so I put him down...but he wont last for more than an hour tops? This is 3-4 times a day.

Also at night, he started kind of doing the same. His chosen bedtime of 630 hasnt changed (Ive tried sooooo hard to push it later) but now instead of sleeping through the night till 6am normally, he gets up 2, 4, and finally 6.

Ive gone down the list of what I can think of... but I dont know whats causing it?

hes about 22lbs, so ive been used to feeding him more than reccomended haha so i doubt he's hungry...

IDEAS?

Ive got the opposite problem, my 7 month old has decided to stop the hour block naps all day and have a big nap in the mornings and a cat nap in the afternoon for an hour. At this age I think is about 15 hours (tops) sleep in 24 hours they need so really during the day he doesn't need more than 3 hours tops. As for the night time waking could be teeth or somthing and it also can become habit very quickly

Haha well I had the big nap and then the little one... that's what I'm worried about. I guess they just switched on us huh?

As for the "habit forming" should I try something different maybe? Usually he wakes up and needs his pacifer and then all is good....but he never used to that...

My daughter was doing the same thing at night about a month ago. She would wake up and all I would have to do is stick the pacifier in her mouth and she would go right back to sleep. I was not enjoying getting up several times a night (she been sleeping through for a while now) so I just got rid of her pacifier. It took about 2 days and now she is sleeping all the way through again and won't even take the pacifier if you try to stick it in her mouth. I am so glad I did it now instead of waiting until she was really attached to that thing. :)

I kind of had that problem last month.  I figured it was becasue we started adding solids to my baby's diet.  Now she wakes up either once or not at all during the night and has one nap in the morning and nothing all afternoon.  I try to put her down but nothing works.  Yesterday she fell asleep in my arms and work up in a fit crying.

Have you tried changing his napping routine...maybe waiting 30-60mins longer before putting him down?  Also try putting him to sleep in a swing or something or even swaddle him.  If you are swaddling him try putting him down unswaddled.  Also I read somewhere that lack of sleeping could be food related...but don't panic that is rare.  Or maybe its just a new phase in his life which may or may not change.  Good luck...Oh my sister-in-law has an 18month old, she is the second child and they are expecting thier third in May.  Anyways the 18month old has also started waking up evey two hours but she is up for an hour before she goes back to sleep.  So if there has been a change in your baby's routine or life it could be related to that so once he gets used to the change the problem should go away.
