HELP my daughter is 2 and a half and have been potty training her for about 2 months now and all was going really well to start with we were letting her run around with no bottoms on and she was using the potty freely and still does but as soon as we put knickers on she either has an accident or she goes to the potty And does a wee but won't pull her knickers down first how can I encourage her to stop weeing in her undies any feedback will help. thanx candy

Why did you train her without pants on? Wearing pants is an odd experience for a child as the cloth tickles there butt. It is a sensation that they get used to but does take time. If you are using pull ups then she might be thinking that it is ok to pee in them. Never use pull ups during the day it just sends out mixed messages. Make a big thing of the pattern on her pants and just keep reminding her that she has pretty pants on so she must have a wee wee in the potty and not in the pants.

I understand how frustrating this is as I have been taining my 28 month old for about 6 weeks and she will run to the toilet but will not pull down her pants to pee in the loo. Very odd, because she will pull up her pants and trousers when she has has a wee. I am pulling my hair out with her as she is going to playgroup soon and needs to do this for herself. I am sure both our girls will get it eventually.
