My three year old son has only just started showing signs to becoming ready to potty train he wears pants during the day and a pull up at bedtime but the problem i have now is that he will go toilet at nursey monday, wednesday and fridays and will be dry most of the time when i pick him up but as soon as he is at home he starts to wet himself and has hardly any interest in becoming potty trained ......when my husband is at home my son will happily tell him he needs a wee and go to the toilet....but when hes with me its like he goes back to being a baby again ..what am i doing wrong and how can i solve this ???

My other two boys were potty trained day and night at 2 1/2 years old and i had no problems with them at all......Thanks guys xxx

Some boys just need to be reminded constantly that they should go to the toilet. They do not want to stop playing to go as this is really boring. If it has been a while since his last wee then take him and if he wees reward him with lots of enthusiasm and cuddles go overboard. If he asks to go then tell him what a big boy he is, if he wets himself no eye contact and no verbal communication just clean him up and carry on with what you were doing.

I completely understand how frustrating it is, my daughter has been clean and dry for 4 months but last week she suddenly decided that going to the toilet was to boring and reverted back to being wet all the time. We are talking 8 changes of clothes a day. Now a week later I am still having to remind her to go but she is back on track and clean and dry again. Just a glitch I hope!
