My Stepdaughter was born in the early morning on 9/11/01. Today she always askes me: " dont you think it's werid that I was born on a day when so many people died" I sometimes dont know what to say to her!! How can I talk to her about this? I feel like sometimes it bothers her that this is her Birthday.

Just tell her that people are born everyday and her being born on 9/11 was the light on such a very dark day. with all death comes new life. 9/11 was tragic and I'm sure it is hard on her. But remind her that with Tragedy comes miracles and new life is a miracle no matter what day it falls on. just try not to plan her party with friends on 9/11 when there are so many people who are reflecting on the past and remembering those lives lost. Have her celebration with friends the day before or after, but still celebrate as a family at home for part of the day.
