My daughter was born in NJ right on the Hudson River with a view of where the towers once stood amongst the smoke cloud and rubble. I went into labor at 7:00pm and she was born at 10pm. We will visit the memorial in NYC on Sept 15th

My daughter was brn in NC at 12:30 on 9-11-04. we now live in Mississippi. I would love to take her to see Ground Zero one day.

We live in WI. My son was born at 5:44am. I also watched the whole thing on tv. It was like a movie....it just didn't seem real. My son is the BEST thing that has ever happened to my husband and I. It is such a sad day for our nation but a very wonderful day for us. I'll never forget where I was that day!!

I live in Murrysville PA but at the time my son was born, we lived in
Odenton, MD which was 15 minutes without traffic from the Pentagon. I remmeber seeing the 2nd towe hit while in the hospital but we were so tired and i was drugged up and we thought it was a movie. I still haven't had the opportunity to visit any of the sites but hope to get there soon for y son's sake. He is now 8 years old and we have had some in depth discussions about that day. All I know is that I was grateful that my husband wasn't working at the White House anymore or he would have missed our son's birth.

I was born and raised in Ashtabula County in OH.I moved to N.E. MO in 1997 and have been here ever since.I have three kids 2 boys 21 & 23 and then my girl whos 7.

I'm thinking I had a tad of postpartum.,,,my husband is a professional firefighter and NYC was looking for assistance in NYC--He's a HAZMAT specialist. I feared for him going there--I think I was more upset that I normally would be because of the post-p. I recall coming form from the hospital a few days later and noticing the American Fags EVERYWHERE. On cars, houses, hanging off bridges....We live on the outskirts of Albany, New York. We were in the hospital watching the Today show when they announced the "breaking news"...it was odd to have the doctor and nurses asking my husband his professional opinion on how NYFD would get everyone out of the building. I recall a scared moment when they were uncertain how many planes were unaccounted for...memories. Thank god we have something to be thankful for on 9/11. We have friends that have lost family members and friends in the WTC.

I didn't have post-partem depressions, but I found myslef watching all the programming for the first two weeks. It didn't help that that was all that was on for a while. I just remember that all the nurses in the hospital were very distracted. One of the pilot's brothers was a Dr. in our hospital. I received the worst care in delivery. I had seen the first plane hit before I went to the hospital, and Bridge was born just before 8pm. The nurses all came in a watched the TV! It was wild. I saved news paper clippings for her when she is old enough to understand it.

Hi I am in Indiana but Kait was born in Dayton, Ohio. I was so scared that day. I didn't think I was going to see her born, she was born at 4:20 pm. I remember after I delivered everyone let the room I was by myself and there was a loud boom and the hospital started shaking. Still to this day no idea what it was but we decided it had something to do with the Air Force base in town.

Just a question did anyone have postpartum depression? Were you glued to the tv when you got home?

My daughter, Bridget, is very independent and compassionate. She has a lot of empathy for other children, which is nice to see. She has been like that since she was very young. Deep down though, she loves to be social, sing and dance all the time. Bridget is a very good artist. We recently enrolled her in art lessons and she has just blossomed in it! It's amazing to see her drawing develop. She is also very much on the go, we have her in gymnastics, which she loves and looks forward to every week!

We are Air Force and we were stationed in Charleston, SC when Sam was born. I was in labor and watching the Today show when it all started. Our hospital was pretty quiet that day which made it even more sad. It seemed like a different world on base when we returned home from the hospital. We visited NY the following July. It was very sad. What is your baby like? Sam is very independent and strong and so different than my other children. She seems like she already knows so much about the world and she has a solution for everything, like she's solved that problem before. She is so happy all the time too! Nice to chat with you:)
