my son said mama first then he said dada on fathers day. now he says nana, dog, ball, burp, he does alot of baby talk and he can also wave good bye

my sons 1st word was mama too! than papa, but he can also say buh bye hi, baby, dada, aunty, Tey (short for his full name: Teyshawn) he almost says Baby Tey now

the first word natalie actually said and understood was "dog". every morning she looks for the dog and says "hi dog" dozens of times til she sees her!

My little one first said Mama then Taata(dad) and now she calls her big sister Sarah, to her apart from me and her Dad the rest her Sarah,Sarah,sarah...I love her alot and she's like an angel. Surely children are gifts from God above.

My son has always been more of a mover and doesn't seem to have much interest in talking. I was a little concerned because he wasn't even babbling. I said something to my hubby about it around 8 - 8 1/2 months and a couple days later he started babbling a bit. He said mama, dada and baba that first day (I'm not sure which came first). He still doesn't have much to say, unless he is upset, hungry, tired, etc and he says ma ma over and over again. He occasionally says baba and whispers dada.

my daughter's first word was "mama". That was so amazing to hear her say it until she learned to say "dada". Then that is all she would say for months! Her first word was at 6 months old.

I can tell you for sure dada does NOT mean daddy. My baby girl has no daddy and her first word was dada.

Mine hasn't said a word yet. She is just starting to stand on her own for a few seconds then will sit down or fall down on her bottom. I'm hoping the first words are "Momma" since she is always wanting me instead of daddy.

Dylan's first word was Dada, he was 7mths. At 81/2mths he said muma and Nan as 91/2mths.

Cael has been saying Baba now for a month or so. And Mama came next...being that the mouth is shaped the same for both M and B sounds. Dada hasn't eventuated yet...I don't think its personal. I keep saying to Greg (husband) that its because he's overseas and Cael is giving him the guilts. Sweet payback and all that.

My LO said mama first. then baba, then dada or da. he says hi, also but not all the time. he also says ooma, which is im guessing our dog,Homer. idk he didn't start talking til about 7/8 months.

My son has been saying "mom mom" since he was about 4 months, and he's still calling me that. He just recently has been able to call his daddy "dada". He calls his grandma "mama", he says "unto" for uncle. And he loves to say "no". :)

MINE SAYS 'DADDY', AND IT CAN BE ANNOYING. LUCKY YOU. HIS FIRST WAS 'HI', 2ND, 'HELLO', THIRD 'DADDY'. HE SAYS 'LEAVE THERE' TOO. I SAY THAT TO HIM A LOT. LOL

Logan started chatting at 8 months.

DaaDeee was the first, gues that's what I get for always saying Daddy is home.....

Good was the second, Cat the third, Mumum the fourth, finally!!!!! He is working on number 5, I can't make it out.

My eldest said "Mum-mum!" during a visit to the Early Childcare Nurse at 4 1/2 months. Then on Christmas Day said "Dada" for the first time. That's how we woke, my husband was stoked!!

My baby (9 months tomorrow) said "Dada" first. Now says dada, baba, sasa, gaga, kaka, gaka (my eldest thinks she's says gherkin!). She hisses, growls and pretend coughs!

My sons first word was Mama. I was so happy to hear that come out of his mouth. Then he said Papa, Baba, and Dada all at once. My son is an early learner and he learned all his words by the age of 5 months
