6 Month old all of a sudden fussy at bedtime and won't sleep in crib

My 6 month old was having no problem going to bed and sleeping in her crib when all of a sudden we put her to bed two nights ago and she just started screaming and crying non stop, nothing seemed to calm her down unless we picked her up and walked around with her, the only way I could get her to sleep and stop crying is put her in her swing for the night. She did have a fever after her immunizations and she may be getting some teeth so not sure if this is why, anyone have any ideas???

My son fights sleep.. He has so much fun playing he doesnt want to sleep until he can't fight it no more- I also had to cut his naps, so he would sleep at night. I had to set a firm schedule, 10pm bedtime, 9am up, nap at 12 to1, and nap at 4 to 5(if we swim). Otherwise he wont go to sleep!

Have you just switched over to solid foods? I started my daughter on them about 3 or 4 weeks ago and I find now that she gets really thirsty (that may be from the weather too). I have asked my doctor if it's okay to give her water, and he gave us the go ahead, so maybe that will help your daughter too :) And she really laps it up!!!

My 6 month old has done the same thing for the past 3 nights. He fights to sleep, not even nursing him to sleep helps anymore. Only time he isn;t screaming is if he has food with him.

If she will sleep semi-upright in her swing, it is possible she has an inner ear infection or some other congestion in her head. Personally, when I am congested, I prefer to sleep propped up or my sinuses will hurt. It might warrant at least a call to the Dr.
