I use the same recipe as you Amy and I like them. The only difference is that I use warm water to make them. They work great though!!

Here's the "recipe" I have... :o)

Homemade baby wipes! My cousin works at a daycare and they make their own babywipes. She also used them on her baby (and low and behold, NO DIAPER RASH!) It takes about 5 minutes to make them. The only thing you would need is a container to hold them for the "on the go" wipes. I use the rubbermaid container I make them in for home, and I bought a thin rubbermaid container for the "on the go" wipes. See below for the recipe!

10 cups/24 L Rubbermaid bowl

1 roll Bounty Paper Towel

2 cups water

2 tablespoons baby wash (I use Johnson and Johnson Head to toe wash, No tears)

1 tablespoon baby oil

Cut the paper towel roll in half - remove cardboard center. Put water, baby wash, and baby oil in rubbermaid container. Put in paper towel roll and let it absorb the water mixture. Pull out from center to use!

I make homemade baby wipes, too! I use terry cloth and flannel wipes and the solution is:

Mix in mayonaise or similar size jar - 2 to 3 tablespoons alcohol free witch hazel, 1 teaspoon or so Jojoba oil, 3 to 4 drops tea tree oil, and then 3 to 4 drops of (your choice) orange oil or lavender oil. I mix this with hot water to nearly the top, then add in about a tablespoon or two of Earth Mama Angel Baby body wash, then I put the lid back on and shake up some more. And the witch hazel is so optional that when I'm out of it, I don't necessarily rush right out to get more, just make the solution without it.

I don't use a wipes warmer, I just keep my potion in a squeeze bottle (I love the peri bottle they give you at the hospital or birth center!) next to a stack of dry wipes in my son's room. Then I put a couple wipes in a bowl and pour in the solution, making fresh wipes each time we need them. That way I don't worry about wipes going musty or anything... I'd love to read other people's recipes, if more people want to post them here!
