It is SO useful... It soothes her... It keeps her quiet in church... It doesn't just pacify her but it helps me out too... HOWEVER, I think it's really time to say goodbye! But, she goes looking for the thing. I don't know how to get her off & KEEP her off! Any suggestions??? Are any of you other December '09 moms dealing w/ this??

I totally feel your pain on this one! I think the binky was more for my own peace rather than Jaden's. I used it mostly to quiet her crying. It got to where we only gave it to her at nap time and bedtime. Then eventually just took it away. The first night she fussed a little bit, but since has not. Good luck!

We went cold turkey, meaning threw them out, so neither of us would be inclined to give them to her. She would ask, and I would say I don't know. However she was 14 months old.

I have also heard clipping it so no air can inflate it, but I also think that is a choking hazard.

Does she have a small animal or toy you could replace her pacifier with?

I have heard cutting a portion of the tip off the pacifier helps!
