my son just turned 7mo on march 1. his birth weight was 9lbs3oz, He now weighs 22lbs and is 28in long.... about how much weight will he gain by his 1st birthday in august? (he drinks breastmilk and eats some baby and table foods) plz help ^_^ *thank you

My LO is 71/2 months now. At 6 months he weighed14lbs 7oz. He doubled his birth weigh at 5 months. He was 6lbs 10oz at birth. Quite small, right?

My twins have a HUGE gap in weight but they are B/G twins. My son is 23 pounds and my daughter is 17 pounds. They will be 7 months on July 31.

My son was 19lbs 4oz at his 6 month appointment, he started crawling at the speed of lightening just after that. He will be 7 months tomorrow so we will see what he weighs then.

My 6 month old weighs 22lbs and is 28 1/2 inches long. Just got his shots and the dr. says that he is at the top of the charts. He's chunky but not fat because of his height.

Not necessarily. Formula-fed and breast-fed babies will gain weight at different rates and babies who were large or small at birth will gain differently, too. The double-birth-weight by 6 months is a "general" guideline that does not necessarily need to be followed for a baby to be healthy. Both my sons (one is now 2, the other is 7 months) were over 10 pounds at birth and weighed about 18 pounds at 6 months. Perfectly normal and healthy. My 7 month old was born Dec. 22 and is now also eating solids. He's 28" long, too, so he's super skinny. :) But those "rules" for weight are never hard and fast commandments that need to be followed.

At six months one of my boys was 15lbs 15oz and 13lbs 7oz and both 25 1/2 inches. They were also 3 weeks early.
