when i burp my baby i sit her up and pat her back and that is usually what i do to put her to sleep too... maybe im confusing her???
Is it bad if my daughter falls asleep without being burped?

my son always does this in the middle of the night! so i never wake him to burp, but during the day i keep patting his back til he does..he usually burps in his sleep lol

all of this sounds pretty normal.. my daughter falls asleep without burping all the time! she is fine.

Both my kids fell asleep sometimes after eating without burping. They just got hiccups. No big deal.

Burp her anyways or he will wake up not long after he falls asleep possibly with a tummy ache. Most babies wont wake up when you continue to burp them.

sometimes when i go to burp my son he is already sleepin... .but one mornin when he didnt burb he did choke on his spit up it came through his nose and mouth. i was so scared so i would take the advice on puttin ur baby on the side when they sleep if they didnt burb..

the midwives at hospital always told me that a baby cant choke on their own sick as they automatically turn their heads to the side

hi amanda sometimes i have troble getting my 6 week old to burp after a good half hour trying to bring his wind up i will still put him bk down for a sleep even if he hasnt brought up his wind..ur daughter will let u know if the trapped wind is hurting her belly..try winding her b4 she has her next feed i have to do that sometimes ,it seems to work out ok for my son

I don't burp my little one because its useless....she NEVER burps if I try to burp her, and I've tried everything. So I gave up. She falls asleep nearly after ever feed too. So I give her mylocon to help with gas, and she really doesnt have much of a problem with gas anymore. She burps on her own pretty consistently, but not because of any one cause. She will burp during tummy time, sometimes when she's sleeping, or I lay her down to sleep. Sometimes when I pick her up, but mostly not at all. I wouldn't worry about it, if you are...you can use mylocon, it helps dissolve gas bubbles in their bellies. I get it at walmart, its $6 or so.

my son falls asleep without burping probably every other feed. he's usually fine...sometimes he gets the hiccups

my son often falls asleep with out burping. when this happens usually i'll lay him on his side because sometimes he'll start spitting up and i don't want him to choke on it. However, i did notice that when he doesn't burp, he'll get gassy
