My baby Zoie is 16weeks old and has always slept through. I wasnt sure if it is ok to let her though seeing she misses a couple of feeds.
She is putting on weight though and had 5-6 feeds through the day of 120mls because thats all she will drink. Should i wake her for feeds?
I know my sister who has a baby 6 months thinks i should not sleep that long and should wake her. But she is a worry wort. So what do you all thimk?

She is definitely old enough to sleep that long. Once they reach 11 lbs, they can biologically sustain themselves for longer. It is completely normal for babies to sleep up to 12 hours.

My William sleeps 10hours, he has since 12 weeks of age, my first child has done the same. As long as they feed plenty during the day and having enough wet nappies and are growing then they are obviously content to sleep through. i wouldn't worry, but don't tell your child health nurse cause they do everything by the book. And we don't run by the book we are all different.
Good Luck

I talked to my pediatrician about this just today and she said to let him sleep. He is putting on wt and drinking 8 oz every 3-4 hours during the day for 40 oz a day average so that is fine. He started sleeping 6 hours a night at 3 weeks, bumped to 10 hours when he upped to 6 oz per bottle at 8 weeks and has been 12-13 hours a night since he bumped to 8 oz per bottle at 10 weeks. He is 13lbs 12 oz today at almost 16 weeks which is 45th percentile so it's not like he is underweight. Baby usually knows what is best when it comes to sleep.

My daughter does the same thing, I asked my ped about it & she said as long as she's getting 5 feedings a day she's fine. :) Enjoy your sleep!!

Our 3 month 3 week old sleeps 10-14 hours a night. She doesn't wake up for her diaper checks and feedings and I generally feed her 2 times during the night and morning. i think she would sleep the whole time but I need her to eat so I am not engorged.

I have also been told to never wake a sleeping baby. Your little girl will wake up when she is hungry! Listen to your gut and your baby. You will find your way! Good Luck!

Yeah I would let her sleep....my 16 month old won't sleep through as she wakes hungry in the night but my 3 month old sleeps at least 10 hours maybe up to 14 so I let her as sleep is good and she is gaining weight and is happy and healthy when awake so there is no problem....when she starts teething I am sure there will be more sleepless nights for me so I am happy while its lasting with her x

My lil girl seems to follow the exact same sleep and eat pattern as yours. She sleeps on average 10 hours a night and has 5-6 feeds of around 5-6oz during the day, two of these are ususally just before bed. Shes only just started doing this tho but we did see it coming she was feeding twice at night then cut back to once then slowly pushed her night feed later and later in the morning. Last night she slept 7.30-6. I'm happy with that and she seems alot more content too. Would just be nice now if she could eat more at a feed and have fewer bottles a day hahaha all in good time :)

My son is almost 4 months old, and he sleeps through the night, sometimes he goes down around 4-5pm & doesnt wake till 3:30 the next morning. He has 200mls milk every feed & has around 4-5 bottles a day, he even has a 1-2 hour nap in the mornings. My doctor said it is fine. they change patterns alot its because they have growth spurts

My daughter is almost 4 months old and there is nights that she sleeps 12 hours!! If she needed something she would wake you!! I would say trust your gut and do what you feel is best for your little darling!

Even though feeding is important, sleeping is just as important. It helps the baby's brain develop and the body grow while the body is at rest. My baby slept through the night since 2 months old and she's growing fine. She would sleep 7-10 hours at a time.

I would let her sleep...babies will not starve themselves. They will eat when they are hungry. My daughter sleeps for 10 hours too.

Let her sleep! My son, almost 4 months now has done the same thing. I find myself waking up, ready to feed and he's peacefully sleeping still. I think he's found his thumb and put himself back to sleep cause its happened several times now. My daughter, when she was his age would never sleep though the night. I take it as a blessing.

My daughter is 14 weeks old and she sleeps 12 hours a night. She's been doing this for about 3 weeks now. She continues to gain weight even though she misses a few feedings at night (trust me she's a little chunker haha). Just let her sleep and get some rest yourself!

My daughter has been sleeping that long as well for about a month now. I was a little concearned, but my mom says to enjoy it while it lasts lol. I will be asking our doctor about it at her 4 month check up, however, she is gaining weight nicely so I am not to worried.

Enjoy it while it lasts! I wish my little one would sleep 10 hours consistently. One piece of advice I got from my midwife - "never wake a sleeping baby". After all, that's when they do all their growing. If she's more interested in sleeping, let her sleep!!!!

we share the same good luck. my son sleeps quite a lot as well & when I posed my concern to my husband he told me that we should not worry & consider ourselves lucky. he's perfectly healthy & putting on weight. our doctor said it was fine but to just feed him more during the day to make up for the lack of feedings during the nite. we are so pleased that we aren't sure when we are ready to stop swaddling him for fear he won't sleep thru the nite like we are used to. enjoy it!

My little girl has been sleeping 10 hours through the night since she was 10 weeks old. I breastfeed her and she is gaining weight, alert, pooping and wetting her nappies.

A baby will generally cluster feed before they go down for the night and feed a lot in the morning.

Can she come teach my son to sleep? As long as she's drinking about 2-3oz per pound (my son is 12 pounds, should be drinking min. of 24oz per 24hour period), why not let her sleep? She's gaining weight, pooping and peeing? Enjoy!
