Just wondering what other formula mums opinions are on Karicare Gold+ Infant from birth. My lil girl has been on it since she was a month old but i'm starting to wonder if theres something in the formula that doesnt agree with her. She has very odd bowel movements, some are greenish, some are mucusy and others are so runny when you lie her down to change her it runs down her back. 1 in 10 movements might be normal. She also has a persistant rash on her chin and cheeks and has had a cough about the whole time shes been on it as well as a runny nose. Anyone else experience this?? We're back off to the dr's 2moro, I'm thinking about changing to goats milk??

Hi Belinda,

My first son, who is now nearly 9 years old, had it from birth to 12 months of age. It agreed with him fine and I don't recall any problems with different kids of poops etc.

My nearly 4 month old has been on it since he was a couple weeks old. We did start him on S26 GOLD but that made him sooooo constipated, so I put him on Karicare GOLD. It's been fine for my baby, but he has been sick and has had 2 courses of antibiotics recently.

Are you giving your baby Panadol? The reason I ask is because whilst my baby had his bacterial bug recently, I noticed that the Panadol I was giving him made his poop really really green looking.

I have also noticed that his poop is runny'ish ... whilst on the Karicare gold but I don't think it's anything to worry about. I am thinking they may have changed the ingredients in the past 8 years since I last used it, as my other son never had runny poops like this one has. I have to always be careful that it doesn't squish outside of the nappy while I'm on my way to the change table lol.

I would just ask your Doctor his/her opinion ... I'm not sure what could be causing the cold, cough and rash ... could be teething maybe, could be anything.

Good luck :)
