I was wandering how often you should bathe your infant? and when do you start introducing pablum?

My son was also born on Dec.17th he gets a bath every other night inless otherwise needed =o)

My little girl is one day off,Dec 20th 2009. I bathe her every other day,unless she needs one,like pooping up her back! Not sure what pablum is either,sorry!

My daughter was born on the same day. I give her a bath every other night unless she needs it in between for some reason. As for the pablum, I would speak to your Dr. as there are varying opinions on this and every baby may be slightly different. Everything I've read says 6 months, but I know lots of people who have started a lot earlier with no problems.

I usually bathe my daughter, born Dec 13th, every other day unless she is really fussy or has been spitting up a lot. But like everyone said, that's a personal preference! My doctor told me to start her on rice cereal at 8 weeks, but that was only because she has really bad reflux (already on 2 prescriptions for it) and spits up pretty much non-stop because of the reflux and some other issues. They were hoping by adding the cereal it would make it heavier/thicker and not as easy to come up. Before starting her on cereal I would talk to your doctor first.

My daughter was born Dec 17th too..She is my 3rd child..I bathe her every other day unless she gets dirty or too oily..I heard that if you bathe your child too much, it can lower their immune system and its not good for their skin cuz it can dry them out..I have no idea what pablum is sorry :)

my little girl was born the same day! I give her a bath about every 3 days unless she gets dirty inbetween, she has really dry skin so it helps to let them have their natural oils

My baby was born on December 17th 2009 too :).

I bath mine every second or third day ... yep it's all about preference. Sometimes he may get a bath 2 days in a row, if he's a bit unsettled at night etc ...

Never heard of pablum sorry ... I take it that it's food maybe. I started my first son on rice cereal and Heinz apples around the 4 month mark.

The bathing is so all over the map, lol. I personally give my lil guy a bath every night, but he loves it and its part of his bedtime routine. I think its preference on that one. My doc told me to start my son (born Dec 2nd) when he was about 4-5 months old. I think though its b/c he's such a lil chunker. You should definetly ask your doctor when they would suggest it. Put all those every 2 months well checkups to good use, lol! :)
