I'm interested to hear what sort of routines you have for your little ones. My little one has always had 3 naps, but she no longer wants to take her 3rd one - so perhaps its time to drop it. Here is my routine (I roughly stick to the times) without the 3rd nap. She is also likely to drop the mid morning and mid afternoon formula bottles as she is now enjoying finger food snacks

6am - Wakes up and has a formula bottle and goes back to sleep for 40 mins to 1hr
7 +am - Wakes up again
8am - Breakfast
10am - Formula Bottle and nap (anywhere from 40 to 90 mins, but usually 40 mins)
12 pm - Lunch
1:30pm - Nap (anywhere from 40 to 90 mins, but usually 40 mins)
2:30 or 3pm - Formula Bottle and snack
4pm - Dinner
6:15pm - Bath, Formula bottle, read a story and bed - usually asleep by 7pm

Jo, My son's doctor said they should still be drinking a bottle or breastfeeding BEFORE they eat their solids bc the most important nutrients and calories still come from the formula/milk until they are a year old.
if they eat first they might get too full and not want the bottle/breast.

Hi, my sons routine is as follows:

7am - wakes up and has breakfast (cereal + fruit)

9-9:30 - bottle of formula followed by a 2 hour nap

12:00pm Lunch (meat, vegetables & fruit)

2:30pm formula bottle (short nap - doesn't always want to)

5:00pm Supper (cereal, vegetables + fruit)

7:30pm Formula bottle followed by bedtime usually - he still gives me a hard time going down.

If he doesn't nap at 3:00, he'll nap sometime later in the afternoon.

I've tried giving him finger foods but he seems to choke easily so I think he's not ready yet. He's 8 1/2 months.

Cole usually wakes up anywhere between 8 and 9 and has breastmilk.
Around a half an hour later he has cereal and fruit or whole wheat toast and peanut butter and fruit.
About 11 he goes for a nap for about 2 hours.
Wakes and has breastmilk. About half an hour later he has veggies and fruit.
Sometimes he goes for a nap midafternoon for an hour or so but not always.
He has whole milk and supper around 5:30. Usually meat and fruit with a baby cereal bar for dessert.
Bath around 7ish, pjs, plays for a while, breastfeed again around 8 and bed 8:30.
He sleeps anywhere between 12 and 13 hours a night so we are pretty lucky. Hes been doing that since 8 weeks or so. He is eating finger foods but still likes the baby food as well. He will try pretty much anything and the other day ate a whole banana..not mashed!

its interesting reading people's routines for their bubs, cause i've always 'worried' if my son is sleeping enough, and when i'm 'supposed' to feed him etc :)
Our routine for my 9mo is as follows (and has been for the last few mths):
6-7am wakes up anywhere btwn these times
7am breastfeed
8am b/fast (porridge & fruit)
9ish morning nap (30min-1.5hrs, usually an hour-ish)
11am b/feed
12noon lunch (meat, veggies, fruit)
1.30pm-ish afternoon nap (30min-1.5hr - it varies, but depends on how long morn nap was. usually sleeps approx 2hrs all up during the day)
3pm b/feed
4pm dinner (meat, veggies & fruit)
6pm start bedtime routine (bath, pj's, b/feed, story with daddy, porridge&fruit, song)
7pm asleep
Sometimes he sleeps right thru the night, other times he might wake up 1-3times for the dummy. No nightfeeds since he was 8mths. (we cut out his 3rd arvo nap at 7mths)
BUT having said all this, i've been thinking about changing our routine around so that he eats solids BEFORE b/feed, and has snacks etc??? not quite sure what to do....
Your routine sounds good. Nice that your little one eats finger foods!

I agree, usually if Bella has a late nap, she still sleeps great! Some days she just needs more rest than others.

Our routine is almost identical to yours, but sometimes my baby needs a late afternoon nap if his daytime sleeps have all been short. This could be anytime after 4pm and is usually only about 30 - 40 mins. I don't like to let him sleep too much just before proper bedtime.

Wow, we don't even get home until 7-9 on M, W, and F. She is usually awake between
7-8am wake and eat a bottle
8-9am she eats solids and a bottle.
9:30ish nap for an hour or two.
11:30 bottle and lunch.
12-2 Playtime
2-4ish Bottle and nap
5 Bottle
7 Bottle
8 Dinner
8:30-9 Bed
My daughter will not eat baby food, so we grind table food for her. She also just started eating more than 2-3 ounces of formula at a time. At 8 months old she finally decided she liked her bottle. She was a preemie and had a feeding tube so we have had major oral motor issues and a huge gag reflex. She loves the sweet potato puffs and Mum-Mums. They have helped her eat other textures easier.

Cheye..usually wakes up around 7:30/8am every day..we have cereal and a fruit..play for alittle and usually goes downe for a nap by 9:30..by 10:30 she has a bottle..then around noonish..we have 1 veggie and somethign else..around 3 she has a bottle..at 6pm she has more cereal..and at 8pm right before going to sleep she has a bottle..and she is pretty much constintly snacking through out the day..

Hi my 9 month olds routine is as follows. She has been down to 2 naps a day from about 6 months. And from 3 months has slept through the night barr 2 or 3 nights away (but we have spent more like 15 or so nights away in total).

Normally wakes up 6.30-7ish earlier but plays in bed.
7.30am gets up and used to have milk(180ml) first but changed to breakfast first this week with mixed results (hasn't been worse at taking breakfast first but gets grizzly quickly after b'fast and wont play very long)
Play, normally involves going outside for 1/2 hr if whether permits.
snacks
10-10.30ish small feed milk 50ml then nap (normally 2-2.5hrs)
12.30-1ish lunch
play
1 hr after lunch milk (180ml)
play (often leave house after lunch and give milk in town)
3.30-4pm ish nap (normally 30-90 mins)
5ish get up and have 100ml milk
6ish dinner
6.30 bath, change and story time with dad
7.30 last feed 200ml milk and bed (99% of the time goes down for each nap without crying)

She loves eating solids better than baby food, but we try to give her a combination at each mealtime, and fingerfoods are readily available btwn feeds. She liked fingerfoods better from 6 months.

My little one is exactly 9 months now - her routine is roughly this:

5.30am* - wake up and nurse (I still breastfeed her)

6am - up and have breakfast (weetbix and fruit, followed by toast)

8.30am - morning nap (30 minutes)

10-10.30am - morning snack (fruit or cracker or similar)

11.30am - lunch (sandwiches, fruit, followed by breastfeed)

1pm - lunchtime nap (30 minutes)

3pm - afternoon snack

5pm - dinner (meat and vegetables, followed by fruit or custard)

6.15pm - bath, pjs, story with Daddy, then supper

6.45pm - bed!

*note that it is almost daylight savings here in NZ, so as of this coming weekend, it will be 6.30am, not 5.30!! We've been moving her routine slightly forward over the past week, so that once the time changes she will already be on her usual routine.

She only ever has 2x half hour naps a day, she's never been a great sleeper during the day, but I can't complain when she gives me 11 hours straight at night without waking up!

My daughter Emma is 9 months old. Here's her routine:
Up at 8am -- 6oz formula bottle following 2 tbsp of cinnamon apple raisin oatmeal and another small bowl of oats
Around 9:45 or 10am -- 4oz formula bottle and a 1-1.5 hour nap (sometimes 2 hours, rarely 3 hrs anymore)
Up at 11:30 or 12 -- lunch of a 6oz formula bottle following 2 tbsp each of veggie (and/or meat combo), fruit and oatmeal
Down for nap anywhere between 2 and 3pm -- 4oz bottle (maybe--not always)
Up around 5 or 5:30 -- dinner of the same schedule of food as lunch
Around 7:45 bath, singing, and snuggling with Mama while taking a 6oz formula bottle; usually in bed by 8:30 and asleep by 9...she sleeps from roughly 8:30 or 9 until 8 the next morning without wakeups!

Hi, my 9 month old duaghter has only been hacing two morning naps for a while now basically because she sleeps 2-3 hours per nap!! She wakes between 6.30am- 7.30am has her breakfast at 8. She breastfeeds around 9 and goes to her nap between 9.30am- 10.00am. She usually wakes at 12 or 1 so she has her lunch time fruit and veg at this time. She then tops up with a breastfeed and stays awake until 3-3.30. She normally wakes at 5 which gives her enoguh time to wind down for bed time at 7.30 with her 23 months old sister. She has dinner with us all at 6pm followed by a bath and quiet time with the family. This routine seems to work out great for now. As you have said they change constantly for the 1st year of their lives.. In the end I think you know your baby best and like you have shown you adjust the schedule for baby and thats great

My daughter wakes up bewteen 630 and 730 everyday.
She starts with a bottle.
About an hour later she has her breakfast. Rice cereal with a jar of fruit. She usually like to sit in her highchair so I give her cherrios or gerber wheels. And she has her sippie cup
She usually is up for three hours before she takes her first nap which is usually one and a half to two hours.
I give her a bottle and a snack when she gets up. (Doctor said she should only be eatting solids twice a day so no lunch just yet)
She usually takes another nap about two hours later and she again usually sleeps for a hour and half to two hours.
She has dinner around 530.
She has a bath about 615
Which is then followed by a bottle
Bedtime is usually anytime between 645 and 730 and the latest.
She just cut down to two naps a day so by the end of the day she is pretty tired!

Hi, my 9 1/2 month old daughter's routine is as follows...

8.00am - wakes up
9.00am - bottle of formula (has recently started refusing this as prefers solids to milk)
10.00am - breakfast (cereal + fruit)
11.30am - nap (usually for 1 hour 30 mins)
2.00pm - lunch (pasta, vegetables + fruit)
3.30pm - nap (usually for 30-45mins)
6.00pm - dinner (meat, vegetables + yoghurt)
8.00pm - bottle of formula then bed

The routine depends on when Mia wakes up, which is usually between 7am - 9am then I feed her every 4 hours. She has a long nap between breakfast and lunch then a short nap between lunch and dinner. I always keep her awake after dinner to make sure she sleeps for 11 - 12 hours through the night :o)

6:30am/7am- wakes up and eats a bowl of cereal and has an 8 ounce bottle of formula

9 am- takes first nap and typically lasts an hour

noon- eats lunch which is fruits and has the large jar and also has a 6 ounce bottle of formula

1:00pm-naps for about an hour to an hour and a half

In between feedings he drinks some juice

4:30/5 pm- He has dinner which is vegetables/meats and some juice

6pm- He has an 8 ounce bottle of formula then usually bath time and in bed by 7pm

Im hoping soon he will be able to try some finger foods as a snack during the in between time of lunch and dinner. Although I did try it I found he was not quite ready for it yet so maybe soon!

thats so true, their needs are constantly changing. at the moment my little girls day looks something like this:
6-7am wakes up for the day and has a bottle
8:30 breakfast
9am Nap (she sleeps anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half)
11:30 Lunch
12pm Bottle
1pm Nap (for anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half)
3:30 Bottle
5:30 Tea
6-6:30 Bed
around 9pm she has been waking and having another bottle bottom change and back to bed she might wake up once before she gets up for the day normally coz she wants a cuddle or her dummy.

Thanks for your input.
SInce posting my original post, my little one has been waking at 6am - makes the day very long, which also means she cannot miss her morning nap - even though she is resisting it.
Just when you think you are in a nice routine it all changes!!!

I think her napping schedule might be changing. She doesn't seem to want to take her mid morning nap anymore. She wakes up at 8am or 8:30am, at which I give her baby oatmeal with a baby food jar of fruit, give her a bottle at 10 am or 10:30am, she goes down for nap about 30 minutes later. She's up at 12pm or 12:30 sometimes 1pm, Feed her lunch, at 2pm or 2:30 give her a bottle then she's down for her afternoon nap about 30 minutes later, She's up at 5:30, feed her dinner. Give her a bottle at 7pm, give her a bath and she's down for the night by 8pm

I have 9month old twin boys. Here's how their day breaks down.

7am start the day with a bottle

7:30ish (a little later on the weekends) about 4 oz of food each

9ish a 2hr nap. they stay in their cribs whether they sleep the whole two hrs or not. sometimes they like to 'chit chat' with each other

11:15 about 4-5oz of food each, followed by a bottle

1:15 naptime until 3

3ish bottle

5:30 dinner 4-5oz of food each, followed by a bottle

6:30ish bedtime.

They used to go down around 7, but they've recently decided to transition out of that third catnap. So after dinner they're pretty tired and ready to end their day
