Rowan is 9 months and has 8 teeth at 7 months she had 6 over a 2 week period. Around the age of 3, when they can sit reasonably still and follow direction like opening their moth and holding it open. My son is 10 at 3 we did his 1st check up. With the exception of a soft spot on a tooth - we lasered that filling...he has had no dental issues and we did our first phase of braces this past year. Good luck!

My son is 10 months old, born December 23rd 2009. he has 8 teeth, four on top and four on bottom, he has at least four more trying to cut through right now. the WIC office said I should take him to the dentist at one year, I think that's a bit much so I wont be taking him in. but I do already brush his teeth. and the best part is he isn't even cranky or anything when he cuts teeth! =)

My son is 10months old and has 4 teeth (2 bottom and 2 top). When I had my last dental visit, I asked about what age I should bring my son in. They suggest 3yrs of age. They said the reason is because a child younger will most likely not let them open their mouth and keep it open for the time they need. Only if I was noticing any discolouration etc, should I bring him in earlier.

My daughter has 10 and she has 2 more getting ready to cut through any second now. Her teeth have been coming up in pairs also. As far as the dentist goes we're probably going to wait until around 18 months. We have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and at the 4 year olds appt last week I brought the baby and the dentist just looked in her mouth, he wasn't really doing anything or looking for anything but he said it will get the baby comfortable with the whole dentist thing. My 2 year old has an appt next month and we'll do the same thing with the baby then too.

My son has none! :(! My older son will be 3 in December and we will be taking him to his first dentist visit right around then. Both our ped and dentist told us that unless we noticed anything wrong (dark spots...) that 3 was the age to start. My friend was told 18-24 months.
