My son is crazy about Veggie Tales, so my husband and I are throwing a veggie tales birthday party for him. We are inviting family and close friends with their children, so we plan on having the party at a park and/or veggie-games for the kids. I've been browsing the web for veggie tales birthday ideas, surprisingly there are a lot of ideas out there. :)

I have b/g twins who love too many characters to pick a theme so i decided to go with a multi colored #1 theme. I ordered #1 mylar balloons for each of my kids and different colored balloons with matching ribbon to go with it. Also i got them big birthday cake hats that have a single candle on top. This will be for the afternoon party with my family.

For the morning party at my mil's we will have breakfast let the kids have a little cake and she is having Santa over.

im not having a theme persae however will be having a petting zoo as my daughter is an animal fenatic already. She loves all animals so easiest option as thats all shes really into.

I wasn't going to have any theme but found these cute bulldozer party stuff for my son's 1st. His dad works with these big trucks so the theme will tie in well for us and even going to attempt to make a bulldozer/digger cake..tough stuff!

That sounds adorable. We were going to do a farmyard theme for my daughter's upcoming 1st, but switched to cupcake theme (my 3-yr-old daughter's idea). The invites say "Our little cupcake is turning one, join us for some birthday fun." My sis-in-law is making beautiful cupcakes (baking & decorating is her hobby, lucky me). Having the party at 2 p.m. so my little ones can still get a nap in before hand. Also thought it would be easy, fun, & budget-friendly to serve finger-food snacks instead of a luncheon for 35 people. I am doing a Minnie Mouse theme. I wanted to do a Mickey Mouse theme for her, everyone said, no she is a girl so I deiced to go with Minnie Mouse. I order all the Minnie Mouse plates and napkin, forks, from Party City. I don't live close to anything, so I have to order everything on line. She will also have a number 1 pinata a pull string one as well.

We live on a farm, so I am doing a barnyard theme. I got some big mylar cow and pig balloons, cow print napkins, balloons, and cupcake papers, cow and pig sprinkles for the cupcakes, and small hay bales at the craft store to decorate the table. I'm going to serve fried chicken, mini corn on the cob, and biscuits and will make butterscotch haystacks. Babies will get cow sippy cups for favors and my sister suggested Cow Tail candy for everyone else.

we're doing Jack's big music show. we bought a bunch of colorful plates, napkins, and cups. like every color.
and we got blow up musical instruments to hang on the wall instead of balloons. and paper music notes to hang from the ceiling.
the cake is shaped like jack and the smash cake is gonna be a drum.

I noticed birthday express has stuff you can customize with photos... dig that. But I bought a Zulily coupon for Party In A Box and I'm digging their "I'm ONE!" themes since there is once in my kid's life that I can buy that theme (and not raise eyebrows!) I'm digging their girl baby, and the rocker/angel/1 yr old theme. Deciding is the problem for me... and the guest list. Don't want to offend neighbors (but some are closer than others!)

my son loooooooooves special agent oso from playhouse disney so we will have his cake with agent oso and get balloons of the theme colors. nothing too big or fancy and we are having it at my in-laws church hall so we can save money from renting one. we have a large family and we just dont have the space for it here.

We're not doing a "theme." Just bright primary colors... balloons, colorful #1 cutouts, and cutout snowflakes hanging from the ceiling (having it at home) and colorful cupcakes. I have many great ideas and didn't want to be boxed in with a "theme." Maybe when she gets older and can decide her own theme.

Its Disney Princess and SuperHeroes. Theres a Princess Party Entertainer to face paint n do balloon art with the kids. Boys get their superhero face on! N the jumping castle is Disney Princess.

No theme, and no big parties...she is turning 1 and won't remember or care. This is my 3rd child, and my older two are in High School....I didn't do anything major for their first birthdays either as I have just never seen the point of throwing 'yourself' a party -dsince that is all it really is.
We will have some family and some close friends over, but that is it. I will wait until she is older for the themed parties....just like I did for the teens...

My son loves eating/reading his Dr. Seuss books, so we are going with that theme. Roast "Beast" sandwiches, jello jiggler one fish two fish, devilled green eggs and cubed ham. It's been fun. More for the adults, but it should make some cute pics! Also I got him a "Thing 1" t shirt to wear!

I'm doing a pig theme, well piglets but not the one from winnie the pooh. I just love pigs so did her room in pink pigs so figured I should just do a pig party now. when she is old enough to choose she will probably choose something else.
I'm getting really excited for it even though its going to be a small party.
