My Daughter Takeira will be 6 months old on the 14th of June, She knows how to roll over and she can move via wiggling. She often attempts to get her knees up but i never seems to work... What Age do Babies start to Crawl and what can i do to help her learn how to crawl??

Anywhere from about 5 months to 9 months I believe is normal for crawling. Not much to do as far as teaching her, when her body has developed the coordination and muscle it needs she'll be on her way. Only thing I can think of is to increase tummy time and place toys a foot or two out of reach in front of her to entice her to move herself to them. My son was 6 mos June 18th and just today managed to crawl about a foot backwards!! I had to laugh but I guess moving backwards at first is common for crawling.

My daughter was 6 months on June 2. In the last week she has been trying to master the skill of getting up on all 4s. Now she can get up on both hands & knees but doesn't know what to do next. Probably another week she will be crawling.

Babies develope differently my daughter will be six months on 23rd of June and she started crawling backwards when she was 3 months old and started crawling forward before turning 5 months. Now she holds objects to stand up. But she doesnt even have one tooth as compared to other babies. If you want her to crawl put objects that she really like not too far from her and she will try to reach them. Also put her on her belly most of the time I guess that made my daughter crawl really fast

My six-month old is strong enough to sit up but falls over sideways when she sees something interesting that's not in front of her. On her tummy she pushes her legs up and rolls from side to side but rarely gets all the way over to her back. She moves forward or in circles. If we hold her up she can support her weight on her legs.

My older daughter was not this far along at the same age. She went straight to walking at 8 months, then figured out crawling around 10 months. Basically every kid is different and there is no "normal" for crawling. Giving the kid lots of opportunity to work on it is the best way to encourage them.

My 6 month old is not crawling yet. She sits very well, but still doesn't roll over because she hates tummy time. I think she will probably scoot instead of crawl! My older daugher (4 years old) started crawling around 9 months. I think it also depends on their personalities. Some are happy staying in one spot with a few toys while others are more curious to explore.

ayden started circles at 3 months, crawling backwards at 5 months but has no interest in going forwards, excep in the bath when he is trying to get bath toys he'll wiggle forward.

whenever they are ready! don't worry about it... ;-D there are no hard andfast rules and some never crawl at all.... my oldest crawled bout 7 months after doing the 'army crawl' for a couple of weeks, and she walked at about a year old. my son though was craweling at 4 months and walking by 9 months! my youngest is 6 months and not interested.....but moves herself in circles like crazy! babies have their own guidelines and their own inner schedule. It isn't a race... ;-D

any book i've read says 9-12 months to crawling, however mine started scooting backwards and in circles at 4 months, and just kinda gave up going forwards and started to walking.. (I dunno what happened there...) He can pull himself to a crawl position, but when he gets there, he goes to a nearby 'prop' and pulls himself up and then tries to take off walking, by letting go of the prop... Its funny to watch. No worries though, every kid is different. Make sure they get alot of tummy time, and try encouraging by putting toys out of reach. It works!

My daugther Macie will be 6 months on the 14th as well!!! The crawling just varies from child to child. My 23 month old was scooting bacwards at just 4 1/2 months and started crawiling at 6 months. My youngest daugther on the other hand has been completely different! When she is on her tummy she can go in circles but does not move forward or backwards! I encouraged them by sitting toys in front of them just out of their reach. Or putting my hand behind their feet to push off of so they could realize they can push off of the floor! That worked great with my first child but just frustrates my youngest. A friend of mines daugther just started crawling a little over a week ago and she is 10 months old! And some babies never crawl. But be careful once she realizes she is mobile you wont be able to keep her out of anything!
