Bradley was 9lbs 9oz at birth in Oct 2010. He is between 30-35lbs now and 3ft tall already. Wears 3-4T shirts and 2-3T pants, size 7W shoes. Im only 5ft, I know those looks too :) But his daddy's family are all really tall, even has a great aunt who's 6'5". Guess he got it from them :) Nice to know there's so many children that are bigger than "average", maybe they need to recheck how big kids are now days :)

Both my girls are very average in height & weight. My eldest daughter who is 4 in october is 102cm tall & weight 38pounds. She wears a size 9 1/2 shoe. My youngest daughter was 2 in May. She is 87cm tall & weighs 30lbs, She is a 6 1/2 shoe. Every child is different & as long as they are happy & healthy, everythin else is just a number!

My son was almost 10lbs and 24 inches when he was born. Now he is 18 months and wearing 2t and 3t. He is about 34 lbs 36 inches. He is a big boy but always gas been. I'm only 5"2' and my husband is 5"8'.

Ruby is my Sept 2010 baby, she is almost 2 years old, weighs 25 pounds and is 36 inches (at 15 month appt) she wears size 5T-6/7 shirts, 3-4T and a few 5T pants, size 8 shoe. She is very tall for her age and people think she is 3 or 4 years old and they look shocked to find she is only 1. She was born 7.8 pounds and 22.5 inches. I'm 5'8 and her daddy is 6'3. She is very skinny (except the toddler tummy).

I have a 4 yo boy that fits into size 2-3 shorts, but is slightly above average for height. weighs about 16.5 kgs. My 20 month old daughter wears size OO shorts but is very tall for her age, so for pant and long sleeves needs 2s. Makes clothes shopping very difficult, she wears lots of denim shorts or skirts with tights in winter. Weighs 10kgs. Both of mine are skinny things but not surprising as I am 6 foot, dad is 6'5", both of us used to be skinny. :)

My daughter is 8 and my 2nd born is 7. she fits into a size 8 and so does he. Myboy who is kind of small is 5 and fits in a 5-6 but my baby who is 19 months still wears size 3 diapers and fits perfectly in the waist with size 6-9 month clothes but lenght wise 18 months.

My 2 yr old can share clothes with my 5 yr old. He wears 2/3/4T some 5T. My daughter is in sizes 4/5/6. Kind of nice they can share.. sometimes.

As of December 22, 2011, Aiden who turned 2 on December 15 was 30.1lbs and 35.5inches tall. He's in a 2t both top and bottoms, but will be in a 3t top soon.

DOn't worry about the sizes at this age. My son was born at 8.5 lbs. at over 6 months, he was only 10 and everyone worried. By the time he was 3 he was wearing size 6! Now at age 18, he's 6ft 4 in and weighs about 200 lbs. Tall and thin. Just have to wait and see what happens.

My 3 1/2 year old is perfectly average. Went they ratio her weight to height she's in the 32 percent tile. 31.8 lbs, and 38.4 inches tall. My 18 month old is, compared to her sister's growth chart and the "average" 18 month old has been labeled "short." She's small 24 lbs and only 27 1/2 inches tall. She fell in the 10th percentile, and as WIC goes 10 and under for weight and height is low. But she's happy and healthy so she's okay! We knew she was going to be short from a young age, and that's just her!

When I tell him he just turned 3 (August) they look at me like I'm crazy. He can hold a full blown conversation with a adult, like he grown, and has a memory out of this world. .

My daughter is two and weighs 21lbs and is 33in she still wears size 0 in bottoms some size 1 if they have adjustable waists and size 1 or 2 in tops for length. Most of her clothes she been in for at least 9-12 months and she usually out grows them in length before she actually out grows in the body. She is just a little build and one plus is she actually gets to wears clothes for a long time!!!!

I have two very different children. My oldest turned 4 in March and she wears size 5T for length but can fit her tiny figure into a size 2 or 3T waist. All of her pants have to be altered to fit her tiny waist. She only weighs 36 pounds and is 45 inches tall. She also wears a size 5 shirt for arm length and torso length and a size 13 shoe. I am only 5'6" tall and average weight and build, her father was 5'10" athletic build average weight but the doctors have told me she is under weight for her height and tall for her age. My youngest daughter will be 2 in January and she wears size 3t it fits her perfectly. She weighs 30 pounds and is 34 inches tall and size 9 shoe, she has a big appetite and is growing so much faster than her sister. My doctor told me she is in the 90th percentile for her weight and height compared to her sister in the 10th percentile. My youngest daughter's father is 6'4" and of average build for his height. I think in the next year or two they will be in the same size clothes. Either way I'm not concerned about either of my girls in their size because they are both healthy and growing as they should. I figure the oldest is going to be the dancer/actress/model from her personality and her body build and the oldest is going to be very athletic into sports like soccer, swimming and wrestling all of which she is already showing interest in.

my daughter is 21 months and wears 3-4 T shirts and wears 2-3 T pants. she weighs 32lbs and height is 34inches. she is quite bigger then most 21 month olds, her doctor even tells me all the time how she's never seen such a big 21month old. her father and I are both about 5'8 but I have a longer torso like her, and she has her dads big bones. she is off the charts on her height and 90% in weight, but shes healthy and happy so no matter how big or small she ends up being, I love her !! oh and my daughter wears size 5 pulls ups hope any of this helps !!

my son is 19 months. he wears anywhere between 3t- 4t.. depending on the brand. if im lucky, he can still wear 24 months or 2t but again, it depends on the brand. i find circo and carters to be really good brands (he doesnt outgrow them quickly) right now, hes 32lbs and 33 in hight. at birth he was 9lbs and 2oz and 21 inches long. some people think hes already 2/3yrs old...

My daughter is 22 months old and she only wears 18 month clothes, and sometimes 12 months. I'm small though. I am 23 and 4'11 so she is going to be little forever probably! Every baby is beautiful no matter their size. :) My soon to be step son is almost 4 and wears like 5 year old clothes because his mom is like 6 ft tall. So he will be a big boy. It's funny how opposite they are for siblings. :)

My daughter just turned 3 and she too is in size 5 in Ireland, which would be a 6 in US. My 21 mo. son is in size 3 US/2 Irish. I too get a lot of strange looks when they hear their ages. I am only 5'4", and daddy is 5'11", but I have a medium frame. My DD seems to have inherited this, as when you stand her next to her almost 5 yr old cousin, she dwarfs her. Her cousin has the McCarthy willowy frame. My DD has the Dumas medium or large frame. My son is the same size as his 3 yr old cousin. It's all just genetics. (Btw, I'm American living in Ireland if you wonder why I'm putting both sizes up). :-D

My son will be 20 months on the 14th of november.. he weighs about 20/21 lbs and at his 18month check up he was 31 1/2 inches tall.. he's in the 6th percentile for weight 15th for height just a lil booger but the doc said he's really healthy just high metabolism. he wears size 3 diapers and can fit into clothes ranging from 6-9 mos to just now starting on 18 mos =)

My daughter will be 2 in Dec & wears the same size pants as my son but they're too long but fit good in the butt and wears 2T-4T shirts. My son wore 12 mo pants until he was 2.5 yrs old. My daughter is almost 21 months old. She just hit 20 lbs. and she's just over 2 feet tall. I'm really small, always have been, but her dad is 6'1", so her doctor thinks she has a growth problem... She did stop growing in utero twice, but after she was born, she's been nothing but healthy, just really small. She's wearing 12 M size clothing still... I like it though, because I can still pick her up when I want to dance with her, she's not too heavy

My daughter is 13 months old, is 32 inches tall, weighs over 25lb and is wearing size 5 shoes! She is the same height as some of the 2 year olds at the pre-school nursery she goes to. I've had people asking me when she started walking, then when I tell them she hasn't started yet, their answer is usually something like: "Really? How old is she?" I'm 6ft tall, and I hated it when I was a teenager, but I have already started making every effort to be confident and proud of my height so that I pass this onto my daughter. I'll do everything to be sure she's proud of being tall :) x

I have the reverse with one of mine, as she is 12 and roughly the size of a six or seven year-old. She has always been little, although fullterm.Her younger sister overtook her when they were 6 and 5 respectively, and that has caused a few issues over the years, mostly because the younger one can go places without people questioning her, but until a year or so ago kind strangers would still pull over and check that the older one wasn't lost, and that Mum knew where she was - very embarassing for a ten-year-old! (I should add that where I live, children still go places quite safely alone or in groups without adults...).

Anyway, your girl sounds gorgeous. You may have to be careful with how other people treat her though. We have found over the years that in general life is much easier for small children than for tall children - my daughter has gotten away with emotional reactions in the past that her much taller friends, who are sometimes younger, get told off for! Very unfair.....



P.S. It's amazing the range children are, isn't it...My 12 year old is just 26 kilos (have forgotten what that is in pounds). However it sounds like your girl is proportional, as is mine, so things like weight are not worth worrying about too much.

My daughter is also just 3 (actually 3 in 2 week so still technically 2) and I ALWAYS ALWAYS get shocked faces when I say how old she is. She is tall...about 39/40 inches I think and about 40 lbs. No heavy, proportioned. She wears 4, 5, or 6's depending on the brand. She also speaks very well....and does it often (she really doesn't shut up! lol) so that adds to people thinking she is older. One of my nephews is tiny and is just shy of 2 yrs older than her and they are the same size...if not my daughter is actually slightly bigger.
My son, who is now 5 1/2 is the same way. Or was. he's still tall for his class in K but not overly so and it has leveled off for him. Assume the same will happen with her.
I am 5'7'' and my husband is 6'. Neither drastic.
Both my kids were also big at birth. My son was 8 1/2 lbs, born a month early (and I know the dates were right) and my daughter wwas 9 lbs 10oz born at 39 weeks.

My little girl has been out of 18 month size since she was about 16 months old! She is about 40inches tall and only 33lbs and she's almost 19 months old. The 18 month old size is perfect for her small frame but she is wayyy too tall for it so she usually wears size 2 or 3 and I take in the waist. And that is still usually too short on her. When I was 2 years old a lady asked my mom if I was under-developed because I was acting like a little kid and she thought I was at least 4 years old lol Every child is different and every child is beautiful :)

my oldest - top of the growth chart as a baby (95%), shes 6 now and average height
my middle - average on the growth chart (50-60%), i think he's a little small size of average for being almost 5
my youngest - was the bottom end of the chart (3-5%), and now turning 2, is wearing mostly 12 month sizes.

I have the same issue with my 4 year old. He is 45 inches tall and 68lbs. He wears a size 10/12 already. I am 5'3 and hubby is 5'9 so I think he is getting his height from my dads side of the family whom are all 6'0 and over. One the flip side my almost 3 year old is very petite and can wear a 24 month bottom and 3T top due to height. As long as you daughter is healthy I wouldn't worry about everything else...just remember by 6th grade she might be eye to eye with you!

My son in 21 months and wears 18 months clothes he as some 2T but it depends on the brand. He is slim and tall so I have issues with long pants, if they fit @ the waist they r short and if they are long enough they are too big on the waist. My nephew is the same as your daughter, he is now 8 and wears teenagers clothes cause he is tall. People always give strange looks when we go somewhere he looks older then he is but behaves like an 8 year old.

my daughter is 21 months and wears a size 4. My daughter has been above the 95th percentile for height/weight since she was born. With me being 5'9" and my husband 6'3" we knew there was no way she was going to be an "average" size.
