hi all im Barbara a first time mum but unfortunatly im going to be a single mum as i finished my fiance of 6 and a half yrs for cheating on my for 4 wks. Im having a boy and anticipating his arrival. Lucky for me i had no sickness or cravings and im now 28wks and due on 3rd jan. Wish all well and hope you all have safe deliveries.

I have an update to share. We had our ultrasound this morning and we're having a baby girl!! She will be born 1/18/11 via scheduled c-section and her name is Eleanor Skye. This is my 2nd baby and my husband's 3rd but our first girl. I am so excited!!!

Hi Erin! YES, we're having a boy. I'm so excited because now I get to start buying the cute stuff!! If you're due on the 31st, you should be hitting 20 weeks this week right? Congrats mama! This whole pregnancy thing is amazing! I don't know what I'm gonna do when I don't feel him in my belly anymore and he's in my arms. He moves and kicks all day. I'm getting used to it but can't wait to see him so I hope it won't be a big deal when I don't feel him kicking in my belly all day. Let me know when you know what you are having :) Take care!

Hi Amber! Congrats on baby girl #2!! I find out on Tuesday (hopefully) what I'm having. I have a 9 year old step daughter and I was worried she would not approve of having a bother or sister since she's so used to being an only child but she's been amazing. Always asking if the baby is awake and the baby seems to show off a little more when she has her little hands on my belly. Being a delivery nurse sounds like an awesome job! And it will help to have the medical education to better pin point things that go on with your kids. I am hoping I won't be in labor for 27 hours like my mom was with me :/ So will def be considering any options for a smooth and quick labor. This is my first one and will determine whether or not it's my only. lol Keep in touch and I will be sure to post any stories I have along the way but right now, things are pretty ordinary.

My name is Amber and I am a 2nd time mom on this go around. My daughter is 3 yrs old (as of July) and now we are planning on having baby GIRL #2 in January on the 13th. We just found out at 19 weeks and 4 days that she is already 11 ounces and she is only (by textbook) supposed to be 10.5 ounces as of week 20 so I think I might look into castor oil again. I took castor oil with my first daughter and I only had a 4 1/2 hour labor (yes from start to finsh :D ) and without the use of any drugs. With this baby I took 3 months of birth control to get my cycle back on track, due to my gene pool the women in our family have irregular periods, and the first month i stopped taking the pills BAMM-0, my eggo got preggo! lol. :) I hope all is going along well with your pregnancy and I look forward to meeting some more friends to share their stories with me as well. I am a full time college student (I graduate in Dec with the baby due in Jan) getting my basics done and then my goal is to become a Delivery Nurse (after more schooling of course lol) so this subject is going to be my area of expertise one day and I want as much hands on experience as possible now ;)

Sorry, the BFP = Big Fat Positive. I completely agree with the birth control issue. I am kinda glad this will be the end of me ever having to worry about it again. I am okay with getting my tubes tied, but we're actually still discussing whether that is the way we definitely will go or if my husband will get himself snipped. A mean little part of me wants him to do that so not all the pain goes my way. I took just about every kind of birth control from the time I was 18 until the NuvaRing debacle at 32 and none of them were 100% satisfactory. I can't remember pills to save my life, I have an alarm on my phone to remind me about my prenatals, and all the others are inconvenient, expensive or too intrusive for my liking. Not having to remember to take, buy, insert or attach anything is one of the major upsides to being pregnant 13 of the last 17 months!!!

LOL Kelly, I had to google BFT ;) big fat preg test?? Congrats mama! This one will be my first but I have a 9 year old step daughter. After this one, we will need to take some serious birth control measures considering it only took 20 days to get pregnant after deciding not to take the depo privera shot. Birth control is a pain! Men should have to take a pill everyday, is that too much to ask for? We have to give birth! Don't get me wrong, I am so excited for this baby, I love being pregnant and can't wait to be a mommy. I just wish dad could take a pill everyday b/c all the other contraceptives they offer to men ruin it for me. Prob TMI but I'm just sayin :)

Hello gang!! I will be a second time Mom, I have a little boy who turned 8 months old today! I am due with #2 on January 23rd, but will have to have a c-section so I am going to ask for January 18th. That way the kiddos will be exactly 1 year and 1 month apart. This one was a complete surprise, I found my Nuva Ring while changing my bedsheets in early May and got my BFP on Memorial Day. I go back and forth as to whether I want another boy (I also have a 7 year old stepson) or a girl. This will be our last child as I am getting my tubes tied during the surgery so I am kinda leaning towards a girl. I won't find out until I am 22 weeks :o(

Hey Michelle and Clarissa! I was bummed to hear when I went to the doctor on Tuesday that I have to wait till Aug. 31st (when I will be 20 weeks, and I am 17 weeks tomorrow) to get my gender ultrasound :( I thought for sure he would schedule it this week or next but I was wrong. The nurses took their guesses and all are pretty sure it's a boy but we will see. I'm due on January 14th so maybe Michelle and I will have ours on the same day! :) Take care mommies!

Hi! I'm a 2nd time mom too, my son is 13months...Im due on January 11th or 15th...the doctor keeps switching back and forth, but I hope to know for sure at my 20 week u/s...Really praying for a girl, but I wouldn't be upset if we got another boy cuz my little guy is the best.

Thanks, with my daughter I was always throwing up it was horrible but this time I just feel sick but dont actually throw up so its been good so far but I am feeling really tired all the time :-( I dont remember feeling this tired with my daughter. I had a dream last night that I had a boy though i'm undecided if I want a boy or if I want another girl so either one will be great as long as bub is healthy :-) This pregnancy I have really wanted to eat healthier food like salads and vegies etc but with my 1st I wanted lots of sweet food like chocolates. I havent had any real cravings or anything so not sure if I will this time or not as I didnt have any with my daughter I just wanted to eat everything lol. I feel like my belly is getting bigger faster this time around but I havent put on any weight yet so not sure if im imagining it lol. I didnt get any stretch marks with my daughter so I am crossing my fingers that I dont this time either but I have a feeling I will :-( But thats pretty much all thats been happening so far with this pregnancy :-)

Hi Jodie! Congrats to you too!! Yeah, I was on the Depo Privera shot and it really messed my body up so I didn't go back for my second round (due by April 1st) well supposedly, with the shot it can take at least 9 months to a year to get pregnant...I was pregnant within 2 weeks :) I wouldn't change it for the world but yes...it was quite a surprise. So far, I'm nauseous all day but never throw up :/ I definitely want to know what it is and the doctors have pretty much pegged this one as a boy. This one is my first and loves bean and cheese tacos, BBQ and cucumbers with lime juice and chili. Things I can't eat anymore are cheeseburgers :( pizza and fajitas :(. Nice to meet you Jodie and Amanda! I'm curious to hear about how your pregnancies are coming along.

Hi Holli & Amanda, I'm Jodie, I am expecting bub number 2 January 8th :-) My daughter is only 14 months old so i'm freaking out a bit as I was on the pill when I fell pregnant and we were only planning on having the one but I guess we were meant to have 2 lol. But it was a nice suprise! How has your pregnancies been so far? I have been feeling quite sick but the more I eat the better I feel lol. Are you going to find out what you are having? :-)
