I have a 3 month old daughter who has decided she hates riding in her stroller. We keep her in the infant seat which then gets placed in a BOB jogging stroller. She cries the entire time until someone takes her out. This started about 4-6 weeks ago. I would LOVE to go outside and walk/jog/run with my daughter, but I currently get anxiety about taking her in the stroller.

Any suggestions?

My son was/is the same way. We tried just placing him in the stroller, no car seat in his regular stroller and sitting the seat up to about a 45 degree angle and he loves it bc he can look around. He has always loved his jogging stroller bc he see everything. We do roll up a towel or shirt to place around his head in the jogging stroller (he is 4 months old) just to keep it from bouncing around everywhere.

My daughter hated the swing and stroller but when we put a head support and wrapped receiving blankets on both sides of her she was perfectly content. Maybe your baby like to feel swaddled/cuddled like ours does. She is 12 weeks old now and still does not care for an "open" feeling. Even napping she prefers laying in a Boppy pillow.

Do you put toys on the stroller or car seat? It might be that she is just getting bored. She may still get bored with some toys, but it may help for a little bit. Try to get ones that have music and lights (may hold attention a bit longer). I know there are ones that can strap onto the car seat and I think there are some that can go on stollers also.

I'd be careful jogging with such a young baby. I'm not sure how smooth a ride you get, but an infant has a very weak neck and the constant bouncing of jogging can cause pain and discomfort. It could be that she associates the stroller with that?

if you are looking for different ways to exercise, have you considered a baby and me dance class? i know in my area they offer salsa dance lessons where you wear your baby and dance with them :) i also took a baby and me swim class, where you basically use your baby as a weight (lol) but you get to play together in water :)
but remember she is still pretty small, and she will probably get use to the stroller, it might just take a bit of patience. good luck :)

The front carrier is all material with no poles. It's hard because I can get her to fall asleep in the front carrier, but my main purpose in trying to use the stroller is to get exercise while I'm spending time with her. The front carrier limits the amount of activity you can do.

you could try a baby wrap, i found them way more comfortable than a sling. i have one called the cuddly wrap, but there are others just like it, like the moby wrap. question for you, was the front carrier you used ridged/have poles?

I tried putting her in the stroller without the infant seat, but she looked terrified! I'm trying to figure out if there is something I can put in the stroller that will help her feel more secure.

I haven't tried a sling, but I have tried a front carrier and she's not a huge fan. She does like being held...especially when she's tired. I'm also really trying to go out and exercise and the sling doesn't allow you to move as freely as putting her in a stroller.

I feel like giving up! lol

You might want to try to just sit her in the stroller without putting her in the infant seat. My little girl enjoys that more then she did riding in the infant seat.
