I know this circle is about bubs and infants, but Im wondering if its just me?

I seem to be malting more than my Pomeranian hahaha

My hair is EVERYWHERE!! And when I wash it ... big clumps!!!

Complete opposite from when I was pregnant and it grew like wild fire and was very healthy!!

My hair started falling out when my baby was 3-4 months and it kept getting worse and worse. My hair was everywhere and it drove my husband nuts. I took some herbal supplements and that helped a bit. Now my baby is 8 months and it has slowed significantly. Now I just have to deal with the regrowth.

This is what I found on a pregnancy website:

There are a number of things that you might do to have healthier hair and/or reduce hair loss during pregnancy and after delivery:

Consult with your health care provider to ensure a proper balance of hormones

Avoid pigtails, cornrows, hair weaves, braids and tight hair rollers which can pull and stress your hair

Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, which contain flavonoids and antioxidants that may provide protection for the hair follicles and encourage hair growth

Use shampoos and conditioners that contain biotin and silica

Hair is fragile when it is wet, so be gentle; avoid fine tooth combs

If you need to use blow dryers and other heated hair instruments, try to use the cool setting

Supplement your diet with the following nutrients:

- Vitamin B complex (Catergory A)

- Biotin (Possibly safe; orally and appropriately)

- Vitamin C (Catergory A)

- Vitamin E ( Likely safe if amount does not exceed the RDA; possibly safe if it does)

- Zinc (Likely safe when used orally and appropriately; likely unsafe when used orally in high doses)

Yes, as Robyn said, that's completely normal. Your body is just getting rid of all the hair it hung onto during your pregnancy. Unfortunately. After my son was born there was hair EVERYwhere in the house, including between my son's buttocks & in his diapers - haha. I was shedding like there was no tomorrow. You could have probably knitted a fair size scarf from it.

hey no worries you are just losing all the hair that your body held on to while you were pregnant. we ussually lose about 75-100 hairs a day not preg. then when we are preg. you only lose about 25 or so per day so around the 3 month mark for your baby you start to lose all those that were held on to making the amout double to triple per day...it will level off again...it did for me and I have 3 boys the youngest is 6 months...and my hair is now starting to level off...a little :)

Thank god im not the only one. Whilst pregnant with my second child my hair was falling out mainly around the back especially when I washed and brushed. Now I have had bub 9 months on my hair is still coming away but not as much. I mentioned this to my doctor who put it down to hormones.

yes mine did if you have had any stress or if you had any drugs likke c-section that would cause that ...i know if you sometimes massage your scalp it might help thats what my hair dresser told me i do and it has seemed to work a little bit more i keep my hair a little shorter now then normal but give it a try >

I notice my hair falling out after a shower I run a brush through it and have a clump in the brush :( more than anything I've noticed it's a lot thinner than it was and I also notice this stupid little new whispy hairs at the front that drive me nuts, it's a huge source of entertainment for my husband. Anyway I am told it does get thicker within a year so fingers crossed ladies :)

i didn't actually notice mine falling out, but i sure noticed it growing back!! annoying tufty bits at the front!! apparently it's really common to have hair loss after pregnancy, so i wouldn't worry too much yet! and it will grow back, hopefully you won't get the annoying bits at the front like a have!! lol! :)
