When did your baby's teeth come in? About how long should it take before they push through? I am kinda tired of the whining and crying now and she is 9 mths. She had a really high fever the last couple of days and I gave her tylenol, but it didn't seem to bring the fever down. I really hope her first teeth come in soon...

I've never used that kind of thermometer before but I've heard that it doesn't always work and ins't always accurate. It sucks that the best way is rectally, luckily I haven't had to do that (knock on wood). Have you tried children's motrin for the fever? For some people one works better than the other. It took about 3-4 months of teething for my sons teeth to come in but he ended up getting 2 at once and then a couple weeks later 2 more. Hopefully your daughters will come in soon, it seems that's how it always goes , when you're at your wits end and she has about had it, in they come. Good luck!

thank you...i will try Motrin and see if it will bring it down because since I can't take her temp. I have to go back to the store and get another thermometer and i don't want her temp. to be so high that something happens to her. thank you.

Teeth are different for every baby. My twins are nine months, and one had his first tooth at sixth months, which appeared out of nowhere. His brother just got his first tooth today, which I've been able to feel under the gums for three weeks. There's a wide range out there.

Try using teething tablets. You can get them at Walmart, the brand is Hyland's teething tablets. They are awesome, they don't bring fevers down, so you'll still need tylenol when she has a fever but, they will help tremendously with the pain. They're totally worth your time and money.

Our son's first tooth came through at 8 months but he was teething for months before that. He suffered a lot with teething and sorry to say but it was on-going sleepless nights until he was about 2 due to teething.
