My little girl is 7 months old, her dad and I are not together, so he has her for half of the week. Just today he brought her back and I found out that without knowing it, he's been giving her bad apple juice for the last 3 days! She has a high fever, a bad case of diarrhea, and she's sleeping a lot. Other than letting her sleep and giving her lots of water, is there anything else I can do for her??

Thanks for all the help, everyone! Nora is doing a lot better now, Wednesday night around 9:30 she started vomiting everything she drank, even water, so I went out and got the pedialyte, she took some of that down, but pretty slowly. Then yesterday morning we saw the doctor. He didn't have much to say except that I did everything right and keep doing it, haha. She's taking down not quite full-strength formula now, and eating her rice crackers, and definitely has her energy back.

My daughter had that too. When she was 5 months. It was because it was getting really warm outside really fast, and her body wasn't used to being out in really warm weather. I gave her tylenol, a bath, and pedialyte. Pedialyte actually works better for keeping babies hydrated when they have diarrhea. If she's eating solids like crackers, give her a couple saltine crackers. That helps alot. If she gets worse, and especially if her fever shoots up again you need to take her in. Hope this helps

Well I found out at about 4 this afternoon, and since then she's mostly just been drinking water and resting. So far her fever is going down VERY slowly, but it is happening. I'll definitely try the chicken broth tomorrow and see how she does.
