Everynight like clockwork my 6 week old screams histarically for an hour before going to bed. He isn't wet or hungry, & has burped if not once several times, he has had a bath, tried the swing and the bouncy chair; even cuddling doesn't calm him down. Any ideas?? Because he is a perfect baby during the day!

My baby did this from 6pm-12am, ıt was colic he was prescribed CoLeif drops which i added to his milk & he got rid of it at about 3 months.

Good Luck

It sounds like you're experiencing the joys of a baby with colic. It sucks, but in part, it's nature's way of making your baby's lungs expand and grow strong. "Try using gripe water from Little Tummies ( by Little Remedies). It's safe, and it helps ease the tummy discomfort your baby is feeling. If you need to, you can use Mylicon drops ( little tummies calls theirs gas relief drops) instead, or with the gripe water. It won't cure it, but it will definantly help. your baby should grow out of this stage soon, but it can last for a while. good luck!

Take a deep breath. My son did this too but it does end. (He is now 3 months old.) His screaming lessened when I cut out dairy from my diet and stopped completely at 8-9 weeks. I know another 2-3 weeks sounds like forever but keeping walking him and if you are breastfeeding try cutting out dairy for a few days and see.

I say consider yourself lucky. My daughter would cry for hours...

But my sister's kids did this, exact same as yours...they just eventually grew out of it. She had a theory that it was just their way of exercising in a way, because when they're that little, it's all they can do.
