Best Formula Milks for a very windy baby?

my 13wk old son is very windy and crys alot of the time when it comes to feeding him he fights with his bottles alot (like he wants it but he dosnt kind of thing) the health vistor has suggested changing his milk a few times but never says which 1, there is that many to choose from that i just dont know which 1 to change him 2 im at my wits end and hate feeding him in public as it looks like im trying to force feed him and this is just not the case

Hi im the one who was asking bout the best milk 2 use as my  son wasnt taking to sma gold  very well nd had alot of wind, just an update for u like u requested, after much thought i tryed cow nd gate milk nd he is now like a different baby drinks his bottles no problem he still suffers wind but it is nowhere near as bad as it was (still rely on infacol tho, nd yep does smell like oranges!! lol), just wish i had made the change sooner could saved myself a whole lot of hard work nd worry, thanks very much for ur advice nd if i can return the favour sometime please dnt hesitate to ask xxx :-)

i had to change my son's milk... he had colic and was constipated... they switched him to Enfamil Gentlease... the purple can... and if he is constipated a little tap of Karo syrup in his bottle will help his bowels loosen... my LO is perfectly fine now... farts alot, but he isn't fussy and smiles all the time.

have you tried Infacol?? i used to give to mine before a feed and that seemed to help too! :)

yeah shes suggested it a few times ive just always been hesident 2 change over incase it makes him worse but ive tryed everything else so looks like this is the only thing left to try, fingers crossed :-) im from Peterlee near durham :-)

Hi again! my eldest was on SMA and she had some problems with it, so with my youngest my sister recommended Aptamil and it's much better in my opinion!! i was always told to check with the health visitor before switching formulas but if she's already suggested it then should be fine!
whereabouts in the UK are you?? i'm in Somerset, near Bristol :)

hi thank you for ur replys i think i might try the aptamil formula as i heard from a few ppl that this formula is much kinder 2 babys digestive system just hope it works, hes on sma gold at the min nd although this was fine for my daughter i just dont think its workin for my son, nd sarah im also from the uk :-)

Hi i don't know where you're from, but i'm in the UK and used Aptamil formula for my youngest, they make one called 'Easy Digest' which might be an idea. i think a few other brands may do similar things. hope this helps :)

i would either try simalac sensitive or soy soy isgood but try sensitive milk which is lactose free

Sounds more like reflux than wind - have you checked that out, you can get meds for reflux
