I would love to hear from some mothers out there who have had C-section, natural delivery or both. I'm looking at maybe having to have another C-section but would like to try for natural. Please go to my blog, http://baxterandson.blogspot.com.

I think natural is the best than c-section as there is scaring. Anyway, mine was that natural as I had to go through induction and it is much more painful than labour and giving birth. My baby was abit big so they had to vaccum it out because after an hour of pushing still only can see the head. So I had a lot of assistant with my natural birth.

well i have had both my first was a natural assist lol i went into labour at 35 weeks so i had to stay in the hospital from 2 cm dilated. I just enjoyed it and i was a natural well i felt like it after 36hrs and still no baby the Dr wanted to just cut me open to get the baby out as his heart rate was droping and he wasn't coming dowm the birth cannel. but a senior Dr came in and said just give this poor girl a chance she has been labouring for so long now let her try to push this baby out before u just cut her open. so with the help of the suctin cap and the help of every one in the room i managed to push my son out and once out i was happy i could get up and walk in for a shower and did what needed to be done. i felt in controll of what was happening. with my second birth it was a differnet story i went to hospital at 7cm dilated and was ready to have him and after the midwife telling me that she could see his head i started to push after about 30min of pushing and getting no wear the nurse just told me he was stuck and took me away to the operating theater i didn't know what was going on i felt like a deer in head lights i got so scared that i made myself sick it was horrable and after my second son was born i didn't get to see him he went to the special care nursery after he was born it was about 2hrs before i got to recovery and then i could go and see him i wasn't aloud to touch him cause i was getting a blood transfusion due to the blood loss and after 4 days Ryan joined me on the ward. I couldn't look after him i couldn't even walk when it was time to go home. i was lucky that my husband was home the whole time. after 7 weeks i was just starting to walk properly and i could hold him and walk at the same time. with my third child i didn't want that feeling of not having controll so i talked to my Dr and found out that i have a narrow pelvis and that the baby will get stuck so a c-section was the only way so i did loads of research into the c-section cause i didn't want to feel like that again. and with that i decided to do a birth plan i wanted music playing i wanted my husband there i wanted to see my baby at all times once born stuff like that and they did it once Charlie came into the world he necer left my sight i got to have skin to skin contact with him and i tried to breast feed him in recovery i'm over the moon with his birth............. If you can have a natural birth then go for it but if you have to have a c-section then get what you want have a birth plan for both so that way you are prepaired for what ever comes.

Oh I don't think that it needs to be discussed. Natural definetely!!!!! I have had 4 natural and 1 C-section. I personnally think it's the coolest rush that goes through your body when you have natural. The feeling can't be put into words!! I didn't have that feeling of the RUSH with the c-section and I didn't have it with one child that I had the spinal block. It's like the pain medicine took the beautiful moment away. Not saying you shouldn't have pain medicine but whatever pain you do go through goes totally away when you look at the beautiful child you bring into the world!!

i had a c/section. and i think that it went great. there were no complications and my scar is very low and is already starting to fade. there are some docors that will let you have a vbac. but im not sure there are too many.

Try for natural if it is safe. I wish I could have had natutal, but I had to have three C-Sections. My doctor has strongly advised me that I should not have any more kids because the risk of problems is so high because of the C-Sections.

I say go natural! I am 36 weeks and my baby has been breech this whole time. I thought that we were going to have to schedule a c section if he didn't move. However, this morning we found on the ultrasound that he moved down and is in the right position now! Now Im so happy because I get to go natural and use all those great breathing techniques I learned! You are definitely strong enough...you are a woman and it is normal and has been done for millions of years!! Of course, Im a little nervous but I trust that my body and the hospital will do the right thing...something that is done hundreds of times everyday!! I say try natural if you can and good luck!!

I was induced and ended up having a c- Section after 20+ hours of labor. Thank God for that epidural! The C-Section wasn't what I planned on, but I think no matter how the baby is born its a beautiful thing for what it is - the birth of your baby. I have heard good things about VBACS. Good luck with what ever you do. I think the next C-Section, If I knew what to expect and planned for it with rest and preparation, it would be a much more pleasant experience.

I had twin girls and one was born natural and the other was a c-section. I preferred the natural because after a c-section you are in a lot of pain. Although i had no pain at all for my natural birth. And a c-section is hard to recover from. You also have to worry about ripping your incision open like i did.

I had a natural birth although I had a ventouse to get our son out. We planned a homebirth but after being in labour for 15 hours and pushing for 3.5 hours and him not wanting to come down any further, the midwife suggested we go to hospital. We could see his head and everything so it was a tad uncomfortable to climb into an ambulance and lie down! One suck on the ventouse got him out and that was the most painful part, when I ripped. No painkillers apart from Panadol. I also took some homeopathics which I think helped? But recovery was pretty quick although my scar where I was stiched after I tore was tender for probably about a year...

I had an emergency c-section with my first he got stuck in the birth canal after 14 hours of labor 5 of which i was pushing, I had my second son nauraly and had a VBAC it went really well I was only in labor for about a half hour or so and only had to push once. So dont be afraid VBAC's can work out great.

i had a completely natural birth. quite prod of myself that i managed without any drugs .. not even gas and air .. as i planned on having everything.

but baby didn't want to wait. he arrived 30min after i actually got to the hospital.

my labour was just under 12hours.

I just had my daughter two weeks ago and I wanted to go naturally, but my daughter's heart beat kept getting really low. The placenta started tearing away from uterine wall, and she was going into stress. I had an emergency c-section. Her head dropped fast and my contractions were very close and long and extremely painful and I was hardly even dilated yet. After receiving spinal anesthesia for the C-Section, I was extremely relieved. I was able to relax and the C-Section went fine. I feel as if I did not lose out because I did not give birth naturally. The experience was amazing and I will never forget hearing her cry or seeing her for the first time.

Hi Lara, I gave birth to my beautiful daughter nerely 7 weeks ago. It was all natural, I had no pain killers but needed an episiotomy (had to be cut). There is absolutely nothing like the feeling of knowing that you have brought your baby into the world naturally without any drugs. Of course some people aren't as lucky as I was to be able to do that, but I was really glad that I was able to fully experience it all. My labour lasted a short 9 hours.

Thankyou for responding Erica, I already have a son, delivered by C-section but my second child is due only 15 months after he was born and I'd like to try for natural delivery, but I may have to have another C-section - I hated the C-section! Please check out my blog, I would love to have other mums commenting and being a part of it regularly. Let me know what you think! Thanks again.

Lara, I had a natrual delivery w/ help of a vacuum... With the epidural there was minimum pain and my total labor was only 9 hours and Caroline was my first child. I don't think it was nearly as bad as they make it out to be! Hope this helps!
