I know I shouldn't give my 1yr pure honey yet, but can he have things that are honey flavored? Or might have a little honey mixed into the ingredients?

Thank you guys, I guess I'll just give him honey flavored things if they are there but I'll keep him away from pure honey for a while longer. I hate pure honey but like honey flavored things for example Honey Nut Cheerios, Golden Crisp ceral and didn't know if I could share with him yet!

Honey flavored this are just fine. I know pure honey is very dangerous for babies under one year because it can cause botulism.

Our pediatrician recommended not giving honey (or any kind at that matter) for the first year of life because of the bacteria in it is bad for babies. So I'd recommend waiting until after 1 year, my son is 2, and I often give it to him but even then just a small portion only when he's sick. Hope this helps! =)

I asked my ped that and he said honey, peanut butter, and cinnamon were all ok to give my one year old.
