My doctor told me to use dark karo syrup on my daughter 1 teaspoon a day when it softened her bowels up I started using it every other day she was 1 week old now she's 1 month and don't be constipated anymore since I use the karo syrup.

In the baby food section at the store, they have little tiny bottles of juice that are the same size as the jars of baby food. The one time my daughter got constipated, I bought the apple-prune baby juice and it started working the same day. Good luck.

I think stuff like juice and extra water can help. I was prescribed some lactulose when my 8week old was constipated and that definately unplug her. Ask your health visitor for advice :-)
