I'm not sure how old your son is...my son is 16 months and he does the same thing at all diaper changes. I just give him something new to look/hold/play with at the diaper changes. I know how frustrating it is to have a screaming baby!! Good luck!

Try giving him somthing to focus on a toy or soft hair brush. Hope this helps

Um, I hate to say it, but it happens quite frequently. They just "freak-out"! lol, But, not to worry, it's just a phase they go through. Best to be patient, check for rashes, and get it done and over with as quickly as possible.

My son did this for a month or 2 when he was around 10 months old. It is purely that they have more important things to do than have their nappy changed (or maybe he is just tired). I found that nothing distracted him with items, songs etc etc but nothing worked, thankfully after about 2 months it stopped. I think staying calm and ignoring the screams and using soothing tone will eventually work (even if it does not seem to at the time)

Goodluck

Try elevating him a bit with a pillow when u change him. My son did the same thing, and it turned out that he just didnt like being flat. The pillow really helped me.

Have you tried...... Singing nursery rhymes and REALLY talk to him like....go oooooooo arnt you a clever boy...kinda like taking the mick out of him but baby talkish. it works hun. heather used to be exactly the same. I know what its like, 3 0 clock in the morning and your babys crying, you just want to be quite but ....do anything pick him up giggle to make him happy. distract him with toys . thats what i do and heather loves getting her nappy changed now x
