My son had real bad dry skin, including the scalp. A friend recommended that we put a drop of baby oil in the bath water, wash baby every other day and after a week it cleared up on its own. Just make sure you don't put too much in or baby might slip and slide a bit. The other thing I did was run some bath water over his head before I washed it so then he got the full benefit of the baby oil on his head.

Yeah u dont need to use conditioner on a babys hair! its soft enough anyway!!!!!

, also shampoo and conditioner is FULL of chemicals, no wonder it was getting all dry as their skin is so sensitive!!

Thanks for the help. Tonight I rubbed baby oil on his head before I bathed him, I washed it out but now his hair is greasy. lol. I think I will try the not washing of the hair so much. Just to see.

My baby had the same problem. I just stopped washing her hair everyday. I give her a wipe down with a wet washcloth or bathe her without putting soap in her hair. It worked for her.

You can also talk to your child's pediatrician. My son had a dry patch on his head, and turns out he has eczema. Baby oil can be helpful in some situations, but it can also clog pores, so before using it, consult the doctor.

Good luck!
