Is there anything a new mother needs to do for her own comfort, when choosing to quit breastfeeding / pumping? I've read about clogged milk ducts and mastitis and want to avoid feeling the flu-like symptoms. Does the milk just dry up on its own or do I need medication or a shot from my OB?

I've heard that you're supposed to continue pumping, but decrease the amount of times you do it... like take one pumping session out every day. This will prevent mastitis

Hi! I needed to give my LO formula so I stopped breastfeeding. I just bascially stopped! It was really painful and I tried to express a little at the beginning to relieve the pain but that just prolongs the milk so I went through the pain for about a week.. They say cold cabbage leaves are refreshing, I just dealt with it myself..

I miss them hehe
