I have a 7 month old little boy. I breastfeed, but he is fed formula twice a day three days a week while I am at work. He is also eating solids now. I am having issues with deciding how much breastmilk/formula/solid food he should be getting right now. I go back and forth - sometimes I think I am underfeeding him and then I think I'm overfeeding him. Any advice or sample feeding schedules would be great.

I have a 9 month old who has had the same feeding schedule since about 6 months. I just increase the amounts as we go!!

7.30am (Approx) baby cereal about 4 tablespoons mixed with formula and 3 - 4 teaspoons pureed fruit.

Between 9.30-10 am 240ml Bottle then a sleep

12.30pm 100 gram tub of baby yoplait yoghurt and half jar of heinz gel/custard or whatever

Between 2.30 - 3pm 240ml Bottle then a sleep

6pm (Approx) mashed vegetables - pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, celery, brocolli, cauliflower cooked in vegetable stock ( I give approx 200 grams)

8pm 240ml Bottle then sleep

Most babies will either just lose interest in the food when they are full, close their mouth or actually just gag a little when they have had enough. (Dont panic with the gag thing)

Hi there! At 7 months I was giving 4 bottles a day - about 240mls each, then 3 meals and two snacks. He wasnt eating heaps though - maybe half a cup at each feed. For snacks, I jsut gave mini rice cakes or baby biccies. He'll tell you if he's hungry!!!!
