They make a Rice startch formula you could try, it's suppose to make them feel fuller and also less colic and gassy but my daughter got constipated on it.

how old is he? have you talked to your pediatrician? you shouldn't put anything in the bottle itself but your child may be old enough to start infant cereal if he's still hungry after a full 8oz bottle. ask your dr first though. most dr's offices have a nurses line that you can call for questions. if you don't have a dr you could call a local offices nurse line.

Don't add anything to his bottle except breast milk or formula. Pediatricians will tell you if they want you to add anything. Usually at 4 months they start eating rice cereal from a bowl, with a spoon. I have always made it kind of runny to start with about a tablespoon a day for about a week, then increased to twice a day and a little more than a tablespoon worth. After at least 4-5 days to see if baby has allergies you could move on to oatmeal but I would wait til 5 months or so on that. Once you hit 6 months you can start veggies. -- Talk to your ped. and they could help you a little more with the whole feeding adventure. - And the reason for nothing in the bottle is that the very little bit of rice that you would put in it isn't going to fill baby up. Plus, it's a choking hazard and often it is too thick so baby can't suck it out anyway. And please, whatever you do, do not make the nipple hole larger. They are made that small for a reason. Make sure you have the camera ready! It's so fun feeding for the first time! Good Luck and have fun!!! =)
