I heard a piece of research a couple of years ago claiming that parents should use rear-facing (facing mum) buggies, as opposed to forward facing ones. The reason was that babies who face away from their mums as they walk along exhibit stress while the ones who face mum don't and more often go to sleep than ones facing forward. What do you think?

i dont agree, my son is 14 month and has always been in a forward facing buggy and he loves watching all the cars and everything else around him.

I don't neccessarily agree with that, I think it would depend on the child. I have never had an anxiety issue with any of my children being pushed forward facing, they love being able to see what's going on around them.

I think it goes back to the seperation axiety...................but if you asure your child that he/she is ok.................... then they can take that experiance with them......I would think that stress would only apply to those whom put their child in the buggy and do not reasure the child that they are ok........

sorry but i think that's the biggest load i've ever heard. babies sleep in the pram because the movement they feel is much like when they were still with you as one, and also that's y they like being rocked ect.

one thing my grandma said when i had my FIRST was, you can be told everyones opinion on a situation much like you can be given a recipe and follow it exact to only produce one persons taste for that certain dish, however if you give and take on the ingrediences you'll end up with a dish that suits your taste.

so hear what everyones advice is on this topic and others to come, but only listen to the bits that you find work for you.

so in conclusion, i think that it's a bunch of bull rash xx but like i said it's only my recipe,,,you don't have to follow it xx

good luck
