I have a 2 week old with some gas issues. Is he too young to give gas medicine?

I checked with my doc and also eliminated as much dairy as I could and that helped. Believe it or not vanilla soy milk isn't that bad. He still has lots of farts, but he doesn't have to work so hard to get them out and he isn't as uncomfortable.

no my baby was the same way. always gassy and crying because of it. i asked my health nurse if i could use gripe water and she said it was ok. just follow the instructions on the bottle and he will be just fine

I stared giving my son Milicon Drops around 2 or three weeks... they are a lifesaver.

My son also has had some tummy issues and what a difference these drops have made. We originally thought it was colic but he's now a completely different baby. Along with giving him mylicon at each feeding you should try eliminating dairy if you are breastfeeding. The lack of ice cream is hard on me but great for him. I recommend calling your doctor and getting the ok for your own sense of security but while you wait for the call back, go buy the mylicon. (Dye free formula - save those cute clothes)
