Hi, my son gets really upset sometimes when he has gas so some friends told me to give him Mylicon. Recently, he became a little constipated and a family member told me that Mylicon causes constipation and to stop giving it to him. Is this true, because the Mylicon seemed to be helping with the painful gas, but I don't want to trade one good thing for a bad one...

I started giving the medication to my son at about 3-4 weeks, and he seemed to have no problems with it. Thanks for your input, and I am going to try the medication again to see what happens. I know it does really help with the gas...

I have never heard anyone say anything about constipation from Mylicon. My friend swore by that and her son had no issues. I would try it a few more times and see what comes of it. He may have just been constipated because he was having gas issues.; It definitly can't hurt. If you don't mind me asking... how old is your son? I have been thinking about giving gas relief meds to my son- but am afraid hes to young. Box has no age resctriction- jsut weight. He's 4 1/2 weeks old now- will be 5 on Friday.
