All the research I've read only refers to drinking and it says 1 year. I don't think a bit in potato will hurt, but I've never found a research on anything other than drinking formula vs cows milk as a drink

Hi there here in Nz they recomend waiting till 12 months but have heard 9 months is ok my daughter was drinking it at 10 1/2 months after she weened off me and would not take formula so i just gave it to her. If there is no allergies in the family it should be ok once they are 9 months. Good luck

It is recommended that a baby not get cows milk until a year old so I would wait. Even after a year old, I would ask the pediatrician for permission....lol. You could give her mashed potatoes and the like but without milk. What's the big hurry for cow's milk anyway?

Babies should not be given cow's milk until they reach 1 yrs of age. From 1-2 yrs they need the fat content from whole milk after that you should switch to 1% or skim milk Her body is not ready for cow's milk at 7 months. If you are making mash potatoes boil, mash it and mix a little water in or if you breastfeed pump your own milk in to substitute for the cow's milk or formula but i would stay far from the cow's milk and any products that are made with it.

They recommend no cow's milk before 12 months of age, but I think that's more for drinking it. I would think it would be ok if it was a small amount mixed in something like that. I would check with your ped

My son's doctor said not to give it to my son til he's at least 9 months even if it's just in something.... but you can give her yogurt and cheese... and things like that just not actual milk... it's strange but yeah... my son is almost 8 1/2 months now and i still breastfeed him...
