She holds her head up for a very long time when on my shoulder without even getting wobbly so I think soon

my son is 4 weeks old and holds his head up when i burp him or when he is laying on my belly.. it all depends on the baby. But, like all the other moms said, tummy time helps alot no matter if it is on a play mat or on your chest or belly..

my daughter is 7 weeks and her head control is really good. she also hates tummy time on her mat, but when shes on your chest and picking her head up and looking around, that counts as tummy time and my baby does that a lot because she really likes to be held. so if your daughter doesn't want to be on her mat then i would just hold her so she gets neck strength like that.

Gianna holds her head up while I burp her over my shoulder she has been doing that for a while now n when she is on my tummy but when I place her on her tummy play mat she isn't having it she begins fussing and eventually crying so I just pick her up.

all kids are different but some fun tummy time things you can do are hold a toy up high so she'll look up. and my favorite is to lay her on your tummy and get her attention to look at you. :)

My daughter is 3 months old and she has been holding up her own head since she was 1 1/2 months old. Do you give her a lot of tummy time.. ? All children are different...
