my 3 year old soon to be 4 in a few weeks is sick. high fever which i finally got down to 100.7 from 104.9. runny farts, its not even pooping. i took him to the er today and they didnt even check his temp, but they did give iv fluids and also 2 juice cups and he still didnt pee. they used a catheter and after trying and digging for 10 minutes got a very little bit of urine out of him and sent him home. he still has barely gone pee and i have bee pushing cups of water, juice even milk i know bad idea with the runs, but honestly im running out of options at this point. Shouldnt i take him back to the er if he isnt urinating at this point? also his runs are yellow to the point where its dying his butt yellow. isnt yellow poop sign of infection? and what should i do with him not peeing even though i am giving him lots to drink? anyone help me out i would greatly appreciate it.. thank you

hey everyone thnks for the advice. i got him to pee last night after i posted this conversation and it hurts him to pee so m guessing its from that nurse who did the catheter made him soar from poking in there for 10 mins. he is a little better today. low grade temp but still has the runs. thanks again for all the advice i really appreciate it.

Yes take him back right away.. Tell them that you are not leaving until they can tell you what is wrong... I would think that if he isn't peeing and drinking as much as you say then there is some thing very wrong... Just to be on the safe side... Hope this is helpful keep us all posted..
