Quoting Kathy:

I don't put mine to bed with a bottle (only 3 months old) but she sucks the nipple so closed that it air-locks and if you don't pull it out of her mouth now and then it'll pop inside the bottle giving the same mess. Try holding him and pulling it away to let air in now and then??

try the stage 2 nipples. She may be ready for them!

lol.....what a little booger! I would recommend not putting him to bed with the bottle, can cause teeth problems and ear aches! Otherwise I have no other suggestions. Sorry to laugh but this is funny to me. I haven't had this problem with either of my children, sounds like you have a clever one that knows what to do to get mommy to come get him out of bed!

Can you just not give him a bottle in bed? I know it's not recommended for older kids (can wreak havoc on their teeth - a neighbor had all silver teeth due to going to bed with a bottle). Maybe it's a good time to wean him from that (don't know how old he is, like I mentioned). Also, depends on what's IN the bottle - breast milk without brushing is not supposed to be harmful to teeth while formula is.
