Your baby dropped and was in birthing position, did you go into labor?

Quoting Lynlee:

I couldn't really tell the difference but never felt like I had a rugby ball between my legs like some people say. Some people did comment though that at about 35 weeks the baby seemed lower. I delivered at about 9 days over 'due date'.

i couldn't tell either .. never got the "waddle" though i did need the loo more

didn't feel like he'd dropped as he was still kicking me in the ribs and i thought that stopped when they dropped ..

27th jan i found out i was fully engaged .. at my 39 week mw checkup (went every 2 weeks) as the mw said babys nice and snug .. there was never any mention of this at other checks before this .. hence why i thought i'd be late ...

28th jan - my son was born 4 days early!

My first baby dropped at around 36 weeks and I went into labor 39 weeks but I was dialated to a three for about a month!, my second son was very high the first time i got my checked for dialation at 36 weeks but i was dialated to a four and went into labor 3 days later. So I really think it depends on the person and the baby.

My baby dropped right at 36 weeks and was very low in my pelvis until I was finally induced at 41 weeks, 1 day. If this is your first, it's very common for the baby to drop four or five weeks before birth.

2 months! Haha! Actually, my daughter was "ready" to come out about 6 weeks before my due date and finally came 3 days after my due date. Don't worry. Your baby will come out when it's time... and only the baby knows when that is! You just have to worry about serious waddling and going to pee every 5 min. because now she really IS sitting on your bladder.

My little girl had started to drop at about 37 weeks. I had her at 38 1/2 weeks (10 days early). She completely dropped the day I went into labor. I sat on the couch and felt/heard it happen. I could hear "blu, blu, blu" like bubbles when you turn a bottle upside down. This was about 5:00 pm and she was born at 10:11 am the next morning. She is my first.

My baby was engaged at 32 weeks and she was born 11 days past her due date!!!! It is not uncommon for babies to be engaged for this long, especially if it is your first pregnancy.
