How much should my two month old be sleeping in a day?

My baby seems to sleep alot some days ( all day and all nite) and on others she's so restless that barely touching her wakes her and both of us are up the whole 24 hours. I really don't know what the heck she's doing. I am so exhausted, when do these routines come into effect?

The jar food is 4 months. What you do is slowly add the rice cereal to the baby's bottle. With both my son and my daughter to keep them full I actually had to make a small bowl of rice cereal for them, it had to be so thick that it wouldn't go thru the nipple. In the long run with my son it was lot easier to get him to solids when it came time and it only took me a week to stop with the bottle when it came time.

i thought that baby's start with other foods around 4 months. it's not too early? Definitely will try a feeding and bath before everyone's bedtime thanks

I have a 2 month old sometimes she does same thing. I have her on a routine that seems to be working for us. She hasn't been getting up at night and has been staying awake more during the day. right before bed I fix her bottle but also give her rice cereal give her a warm bath them shes out for the night. Whatever you do do not use the oatmeal when talking to my doctor she informed me that it well back the baby up and we all know that leads to a very unhappy baby. It also worked with my 4 year old when he was younger.

hello Lorraine... my baby is also 2 months and is the same exact way. some days he sleeps all day and all night. other days, he's awake all day. however, i think 2 months is too early to get them on any type of routine.
