How is your daughter doing? How fast did she recover? & how where/are you doing

My daughter Jaya, Is doing alright.. She has ups and downs with a few things.. She was in the NICU for 7 weeks.. But that is because she kept prooving every one worng.. They told me it could be up to 6 months that she would be there.. They took her right after birth 3-30-09 and put the silo on and then on 4-6-09 she went in for surgery, when they got her on she wasn't able to be closed.. they got every thing back in and covered with a clear bandage.. so we could see inside of her.. REALLY SCAREY..  It took her over 2 months for it close and heal.. We had to change it ourself when we got to bring her home.. She too started out eating very little.. she only got 5cc to start and then they would move it up once a week.. when she left she was just eating a little over 1 ounce..

We are from Iowa, She was born in Iowa City.. We are getting ready to back on dec 9th, to find out about her next surgery.. Over all besides having a few issues with not always going potty.. Over all she is eating anything and everything she can get her hands on.. I am still breastfeeding at night and right away in the morning..

The best thing to remeber is that he is the safest place he can be, with every thing that can happen with these poor little one.. The nurse are awsome (where i am from) I always wanted to just take her home and enjoy her along with her big brother...

Keep your head up and lots of prayers.. Most important thing to do is be with him as much as you can be, A mothers touch will help heal the fastest.. I spent all be 2 weeks in the hospital with Jaya, I had a room where my son Harley and my Parents could stay.. so i had both of my kids with me at all time..

It is scarey to watch your little one suffer but know there is a light at the end of this journey..

Hope this is helpful.. I am will to talk and answer and ?'s that i can...

Take care and Best Wishes will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...
