I received the FluMist flu vaccine today AT my childs pediatrician clinic. They know I am breastfeeding. From my understanding, the CDC says breastfeeding is not a containdication, but there are plenty of other sources saying not to get it while you are nursing because the nasal vax is a live virus- while the shot is not. Has anyone heard one way or the other? Now I am freaking out.

Virus shedding can occur from live vaccines, but it's very rare to actually infect someone from receiving a live vaccine. I would try not to worry too much about it, your body is producing antibodies that you are transferring to you baby. It'll be ok! :)
