what i have found to help is make sure that they get two naps in, my son is now 16 months and i have him on a pretty good schedule of taking a nap at 10:00am and one at 2:00pm and then he goes to bed at 8:00 and he will sleep though the night and will wake up at 7am, what i have relized it that if my son is up for at least 4hr before bedtime he will sleep through the night, cuz it gives him plenty of time to wear himself out for the night

let her cry it out there is no reason for a one year old child to be waking up at night good luck and hope it gets better soon

I had the same problem with my boy, when he was 16 months old I did not react to his crying. The first night was bad as he cried 3 hours but the second night he cried only 30 minutes and the next night he slept through. I had no more problems since then. The waking up to drink milk is a habit at that age and not a need. I know it sounds hard to let a tiny one cry but all the other things I tried did not work. Of course you should make sure he ate and drank properly around dinnertime.

Good luck!
